Major Label Winners?

Just sorting thru my play box for the Greyhounds tomorrow and it struck my how many records in my 70s box are on major labels and also how many of the good sides are on issues only....

Paul Thompson- Volt

Mojoba- Polydor

Betty Lavette -Epic

Three from me on major labels where you need the issue to get the "good" side :

Mel Williams on Buddah

Darrell Banks on Volt

Vaneese and Carolyn on Polydor

:thumbup: Somewhere I've got demos of Paul Thompson, Paragons, Mel Williams and Darrell Banks, amongst other "wrong sides" - it used to be worth taking a gamble on lists out of the US when records were a couple of bucks each (or less) and were listed by the label number.

Having said that, sometimes you'd get lucky :(
