I keep holding on to these memories and hoping you will hear my plea!

Ever been at a Nighter and realy and truly been lost in the music but praying they would play that one track you have been dying to dance to but only ever hear it played at home or in the car on the way there?

My hope is to dance once more to "A touch of velvet a sting of brass" or "Heart ache souvenirs" , I think I'd just burst into tears if I ever heard it at a Nighter.

Is there a track you don't hear played but hope for?

I would have played it for you at Winsford if i had known along with Chiffons Nobody knows whats going on in my mind but me. Is there a more haunting nighter sound

i love touch of velvet too mate but mine would prob be johnny gilliam-room full of tears or lee mckinney (?) and the magnetics- ill keep on holdin on

I can't dance, by the way and generally pray (on the rare occasions I'm out) that they don't play a tune that would tempt me to move my feet - made almost entirely of clay

I asked Steve Whittle to play it at a Casino revival nite bout 15 years back and he said How the fcuk did i suddenly come up with that. Smiled and said if it empties the floor it would be ramned that far down my throat i would need a sylus stuck up my arse to play it. Played it and i think the dance floor reaction was one every DJ dreams of. Brought the roof down. Simply Awesome

At last, you have answered a question for me from another thread.

I knew it had been used for a theme tune but had got it into my head that it was a TV program.

No one knew what I was on about (nought new there).

Now the penny has dropped, it was radio Caroline.

Thanks for putting me out of my misery...
