April 2, 200817 yr Has anyone noticed the copy of Willie & Anthony's Sugar Sugar on Blue Candle that's been unsold on ebay with a ridiculously high Buy It Now price for the best part of a year? A great record (both sides), but surely not rare in any sense of the word. Has the world gone mad?
April 2, 200817 yr Rare Bread - Cracking old White stomper BS&T fantastic record that will eventually go big in 5 years time Prefer the b-side of George & teddy Edited April 2, 200817 yr by Ernie Andrews

Enjoy playing Billy Proctor out sometimes. Was prompted by number 8 Peggy Scott to go scouting through out of sight records. Somebody advised me to get this as a release in 1978 when local shop had some 12" in. I did ........ and really didn't like it. Just found it out now (took some looking) and ....... still really don't like it. Smiling at it now though. Clear vinyl 12" with the following in run out grooves: PIN73-12 AE2 tone A PETE WATERMAN WALLY MIX Back it goes.

April 3, 200817 yr Awsome Double sider Mark, I bought as a new release.... and still love it (especially the flipside!) Sean I agree. Flip side is an ace wailer in style of Sam & Dave. Great when you get into it.
April 3, 200817 yr So what's wrong with No.7, Keanya Collins on Blue Rock then? - Great old style Northern stomper with good vocals and crossover Mecca spin on the flip! Edited April 3, 200817 yr by mel brat
April 3, 200817 yr It's a surprise that the two records that Pete Smith says aren't cack are (nominally speaking) 70's/modern records !!! Will Collins and Reuben Howell !!!
April 3, 200817 yr Author 5. Evelyn Thomas - My heads in the stars - 20thCentury... ======================= Neil Rushton mentioned this on here the other day , I managed to get a UK Copy for a measly £2 ,, what a GREAT record it is... one of Ian Levines numbers in the 70's...been redone on his NEW CD by another artist!...ill put a soundclip up later..
April 3, 200817 yr Roy Head - Aint gonna change for you - Dear That should be Bill Head rather than Roy Head ??? It's on a Texas label where of course Roy Head recorded with Duke Records. Always wondered whether it is in fact Roy Head under an alias around the time he was in dispute with Duke. Doesn't the legend go something like Don Robey cheated Roy out of all the money made from Treat Her Right and Roy told Robey to get fcuked ...... (of course Robey cheated every artist he had!) . By all accounts , Roy Head himself was one mean hombre and took no sh?t from anyone, not even Robey ! Great gritty stomper anyway. I've been advised by the few people that know the record, that it is quite rare. So, what is it worth ? Edited April 3, 200817 yr by sunnysoul
