Hello there. I run the DJhistory website (www.djhistory.com) and over the years we've done quite a few interviews with old northern DJs and we're gradually putting them all online. At the moment we've got Colin Curtis', Ian Dewhirst's and Levine's up there:

We wanted to add pics to them. Mr Dewhirst has kindly sent me a very fetching picture of himself in repose at 4th & Broadway. Ian Levine has some quite cool ones on his Myspace pasge which he allowed me to use but the problem is they are very poor quality and too low resolution to reallty use. So I'm wondering if there is anyone here who has pics of either Ian or Colin that we can use to accompany their interviews. We would be very grateful.

For anyone on Soul Source who isn't aware, this is Bill Brewster owner of the website www.djhistory.com and co-author (with Frank Broughton) of the definitive book on the history of the D.J. The superlative "Last Night A D.J. Saved My Life" it is required reading and has a lovely Northern Soul chapter within it featuring one 'DJ Frank' amongst others LOL. Basically, an excellent history of the D.J. which Bill is always tirelessly updating.

Plus he's a also a closet Northern Souler and is fascinated by the evolvement of the scene, so if you have any decent photos of Ian & Colin knocking around then Bill's yer man.

Rob Bellars was christened as one of the original Four Vandals when Levine was filming for his SWONS video at the Victoria & Albert Hotel in Manchester, the others being Kegsy, Andy Simpson and ANO ( who I can't remember). Obviously this was a serious pisstake as they were rechristened the Vandella and the Four Vandals!

Question - who was Vandella?
