Keep getting tempted to buy one of these on the Soul City label, knowing that some of these releases are original British issues, but some aren't, but not sure on this one, can anyone help pls ? Thx Dave.

Soul City label n the 60's was the first incarnation.

It was one of Dave Godin's babies and was all pukka and above board.

The later 'reactivation' label is best described as suspect.

Sam Dees is deffo in the later category

I was told they didn't have the rights to use the Soul City name for the recent releases. I'd have my doubts too over the licensing of some of the tracks as well.

Hence the use of suspect in my post.
