Yes it's an original Albert. There were a few issues of this, a blue one (like this black one only blue), the black one and the red and black (like the Ty Karim - Lighten Up). There may have been another blue and black in the Ty Karim style as well. All originals.

Have heard it said that the Black one with Silver type is the rarest issue.
