December 2, 200816 yr Cheapest way to buy it is..some misspressed on Curtis Smith on Essica.. Say you will True, not ojnly cheapest but also safest way bearing in mind the boots. But sure to check it out before buying as not all do play "How High" on the flipside. Marc

December 2, 200816 yr When was it booted Marc? Also what's the way of telling them apart? Blimey, thats a good question. Don`t know when exactly but definitely long before this tune saw its revival (in Germany) about ten years ago. Marc
December 2, 200816 yr My copy for sale is a light green label with 'How high can you fly' /say you will. S4KM-0869-1A with a couple of dots opposite in deadwax. Bought in the States 98 so assume this is an original? Julian

Bought in the States 98 so assume this is an original? Julian So there is definitely two different releases of this 45, as mine has just got the following scratched in the runout grooves: 401-A (on the "How High..." side) and 401-B (on the "Say You Will" side) Got my copy from a minor US dealer a couple of years ago. It has got perfect sound quality, shows obvious wear from having been unsleeved for some time, so it would surprise me if it's a bootleg. Perhaps just a case of two different pressing plants? Does anyone have a scan for the S4KM-0869-1A copy?
December 2, 200816 yr Does anyone have a scan for the S4KM-0869-1A copy? Answering myself here... I've dug up some scans of the S4KM-0869/0870 release as well as scanned my copy of the 401-A/B release. They have obviously been pressed at two different pressing plants and it's also interesting to note that Eddie Silvers is credited as writer/producer on the 401-A/B issue, while Curtis Smith is credited as writer/producer on the S4KM-0869/0870 issue (which was pressed at an RCA plant in 1965, the "S" in S4KM denotes that)! So... what's up? Have a look below. 401-A/B issue: S4KM-0869/0870 issue: Edited December 2, 200816 yr by Sebastian
December 3, 200816 yr The bootelgs were yellow and "designed" like the ones in the scans Seb posted as S4KM-0869/0870. Marc
December 3, 200816 yr Can't recall hearing the Willie Small, but are we saying here that he and Curtis Smith are the same bloke and the b-side of The Living End is the Same Record or what??? Confused? You will be ATB Tony

December 3, 200816 yr that´s what we are saying Tony But only on some copies of "The Living End"... Very confusing! "The Living End", now THAT'S a pounding tune!
December 3, 200816 yr What does this go for these days? Mines the 401-A issue, curiously it's got a small $1 stamp on it, worth more than this surely? gary
August 20, 20222 yr I am wanting to buy this record for ages but I am really confused by the issues. There are 4 listed on discogs and different to the two listed above one of the green ones 401 release is accredited to Curtis Smith rather than Eddie Silvers as in the pictures posted. I am really unsure as to which to buy. Can anyone advise me the difference. Obviously I don't want the boot but also confused by the 3 seemingly legit issues.
