March 13, 200916 yr My JB226 cost me 1/6d in 1969 and in 1971, I was offered £5. I'm no expert as I generally don't sell records, but as I'd also bought a second copy for about 10p in Portobello Rd. one Saturday in 1971, I traded the double last year for around £35-£40 of records with Mike Atherton. Whether that was too little or too much, I don't know, but the arrangement was mutually satisfactory.

March 13, 200916 yr WHAT AT VG ? No, sorry not VG, they were both pretty good copies, probably about E/E+ in NS terms, if i'd been selling them at VG i would probably say £20-£30 for Ken Boothe & £50 for Soul Brothers. Simon
March 13, 200916 yr The Wailers' tune is nothing better than a crappy cover of a Curtis Mayfield song. IMHO
March 13, 200916 yr HI THERE Price on these two please . strong vg con ken booth. YOURE NO GOOD. JB 248 soul bros TRAIN TO SKASVILLE JB 226 THANKS JOE £20+ I WOULD SAY? hAVE YOU GOT A COPY OF ISLAND..WI-237b-MARCIA GRIFFITHS-YOU NOW GOOD B/W THE GREAT ROY RICHARDS CLASSIC-GREEN COLLIE? A gret double sider that pleases old style Jamacan SKA and a classic MOD version of the great Hollies record..Like yourself I dont know how to value the disk as it is relativly cheap on Jamancan inport but that should not detract the value which is again £20+ the real issue in trying to price these type of 45s is if I gave you £30 how quick can you get a copy? last saturday I sold a spare copy of Glen Miller based on my own experiance of having had 6 copies in the past and the condition of the recored following the sale 2 well known UK collectors informed me the also wanted it and of course the price I sold it for could of been doubled straight away? however I know that may be so but I believe I sold it for the true value and as such if I buy from that person I know that I wont have to pay over inflated prices for records however my approach is not recomended if you pay top money for a record in the fist place as you will want to at least want to get your money back? as such the true value of some records are not reflected in the price that is being asked, however the Glen Miller is very rare DAVE KIL
