April 12, 200916 yr Dusty as mod icon. If you were a teenager in the mid-sixties it didn't get much better than a combination of Ready Steady Go and Dusty Springfield. (IMHO) At 1.07 there is Ringo dancing (very badly) with that other great modette Cathy McGowan. Now how could that happen today??!! We really did feel that we owned a piece of these artists. Like they were our big brothers and sisters but we just didn't live in the same house . . . . . !! Edited April 12, 200916 yr by MBarrett
April 12, 200916 yr Here is Patti Labelle's tribute when Dusty was inducted posthumously into the U.K. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It's a stunning performance. Dusty would have been looking down with a great big smile on her face . . . . . . "> Edited April 12, 200916 yr by MBarrett

April 13, 200916 yr Go ahead on , is the one for me....her most authentic sounding soul record, to my ears at least. I remember her on a dessert island disc or talent show..where she was on the panel...where she mentioned the Orlons as one of her favourite groups.....
April 14, 200916 yr Love just about everything Dusty ever recorded, but top of my list has to be her version of "Wishin' & Hopin'" and also "Little By Little". Edited April 14, 200916 yr by Gene-R
