Sa voix incomparable fait de lui une star immense de la soul music. Dans les années 70, il sort ses plus grands tubes, avant de s'enfoncer dans la drogue. On sait que l'enfant terrible de la soul passa deux ans à Ostende au début des années 80. C'est à cette époque que le réalisateur Richard Olivier le rencontra, pour signer un documentaire devenu culte : «Marvin Gaye Transit Ostende». Vingt ans plus tard, Olivier est reparti sur les traces de l'artiste, dans cette ville où, mine de rien, il eut le temps de laisser son empreinte et de nouer de solides amitiés. Documentary into making of "Transit Ostend", Marvin Gaye's 1981 documentary prior to the beginning of his two-day Belgium tour that year and documenting the final three years of his life. Directed by Richard Olivier. -

I Used to play this tune at the Wooden Bridge Guildford In 82 / 83 it was on a cheap marble arch lp A bit akin to the music for pleasure label from woolworths, Some nights it would pack the floor other times it would die a death, But its a cult tune I saw an orig british 45 sell for £60 last year. I never rememberd it being played at stafford but heard it at 100 club once around same time (not by Guy though) View the full item
