Yeah thats fine...you are correct...i was a bit dismissive with the dates.....i'm still to be convinced now in 2021....that we are not going to an 'old folks disco' though...'Cocoon' anyone ? 🙂 .....but I digress...sorry ....'Nobheads at events' ? Nobheads in supermarkets, Nobheads in car parks , Nobheads in pubs , Nobheads in airports..........the soul 'fraternity' hasn't got the monopoly i'm afraid 🙂 🙂

Oh dont get me wrong it this 'disco behaviour' is bloody infuriating ......it pissed me off at 30.....really really riles at 60 . Its become a sorta mob mentality...a phrase that we use is.. they need to be 'seen on the 'scene' Scene is a 'loose' word but will suffice. Being quiet and unobtrusive in a dark corner listening and enjoying rarely heard soul music.....is not summat to brag about to ya chums !!!

I'm not sure what we expect nowadays....we are not in some secret underground musical subculture.......no I mean it,,,,we're not !! that boat sailed in 71-74...for all intents and purposes we go to 'old folks discos' and disco behaviour (whatever that is lol) can be expected......do you not see lots of elderly people gurning/pouting grasping a drink having photos taken (presumably to show folks what a great time they're having) ...I'm assuming this is 'disco behaviour' ...it's easier to cope with once we realise it is what it is ....

As a latest addition to CO72 Kev John will do a half hr set in the afternoon remembering 'Minsh' in vinyl. don't miss Kev's personal selections.... Kev is as qualified as anyone to do this 'vinyl memory' being a very close friend of Keith's and indeed took him to many venues up and down Keith did a cracking spot last year and was down to play again this year in October Looking forward to it as I suspect will many others

Just some 'logistics' info....for those travelling by car from out of town. Once the venue car park is full..there is plenty of roadside parking outside the venue and surrounding roads Alternatively...there are 2 car parks approx 5 mins walk from the venue Antrobus Street, CW12 1HB West Street, CW12 1JR
