  2. Ah yes, cheers Simon, but it needs to be a CD. Jordi
  3. Cheers Simon, but I can' seem to find the bugger. Jordi
  4. I was playing a mate this LP the other night and he now badly wants it, although he doesn't want to pay for an orig. I know it was re issued on vinyl, but can anyone point me in the direction of a cd of it? (Gareth?) Jordi

Darn it, I knew I shouldn't have started on here straight after a particularly elongated tea time pint. I'm chilled now , but I'm also back at work Jordi

For F*ck's sake. The original looks the same as the re issue, but the re issue has the engineer's credit under the song title, the orig does not and you can tell that the re issue vinyl is recent. The re issue is exactly the same recording / take as the orig. one costs £200 one costs £60. Take you choice. Killer tune tho'. Jordi
  7. Quite like: Jerry Warren - I Really love You Hidden Strength - I Don't wanna be a lone ranger Ronnie Loveman stokes - Touch you again Someone mentioned (BlakeH?) O'jays - i love music. Friggin' hell what a 12"!! The Philly guitar work is stunning, also Archie Bell - Everybody have a good time, same Philly instrumentalists on the recording, absolutely awesome! Shame there's nowhere you can play these things in their fullest glory apart from your front room. Jordi

I think a copy ended at about £26 a week or so ago on ebay. Jordi
  9. Aye up Mark, How ya doin'? About time you added your knowledge to this site. Best...Jordi

I didn't know this came out on anything other than the LP. Did it come out on a promo 45 / 12"? Jordi
  11. Nah, there's better 'disco' records than this for much less money. Jordi
  12. I'm with you Gav. Pleasant backing music, but the swing-a-long falsetto vocal all the way through just leaves me a bit cold on this. It's a good dancer tho' so i suppose that helps. A good £50 tune in my book. Jordi
  13. Don't know much about the background to this, it's been played a lot on the crossover side of the scene for a good few years along with Ty Karim, Alex Brown, milton Parker etc, etc and is of course now getting played on the Northern side of the scene, and rightly so, albeit 5 years down the line. It would probably set you back £500 - £700 if you could pick one up. Not bad for an above average plodder. Jordi
  14. Good info Simon. Jordi
  15. That's the one Jason. Jordi
  16. I know of the 2 lps and have seen a 45 which I think was 'Don't Stop' with a female vocal? There were 2 LPS released. The 45, Don't Stop, was written by me (music), and an old friend recorded the vocal. It was supposed to be released under her name, Dollyway, but Troy Raglin absconded the vocal and released it under our name. That was one of his techniques that I strongly objected to. Hi, I have 2 versions of "Don't Stop" on 45. The version that you say wasn't released by Dolly Way on Colorworld, and another by Delores Hall (I think) which isn't on Colorworld (Can't think what it's on). Were these unauthorised releases? Best...Jordi
  17. Hi Blake, I never realised that was you. Yes that was a cracking buy, thanks a lot for that!! I was in the right place at the right time when you came into the room with your record box, I just happened to be the first person in your way. The year before that I got Tony Aiken & Future 2000 "Good Things" on Rota for £30 of Des Toussant. Best..Jordi
  18. Every year that I go to Soul Essence Weekender at Yarmouth I get a bargain. Last year's bargain was a stone mint , never played JP Robinson on Blue Candle, courtesy of Ian Clarke who had it listed for the other side @ £60. I just thought it would be rude not to have it really. Jordi
  19. Bloody hell Chris, you've got an understanding missus. I don't want to imagine what mine would do if I said "I've got a treat for you love, we're going to Las Vegas, try and find some shoe / handbag / jewellry / nick nack shops to look in while I'm looking for records". Jordi

Yeah it's a real 45 for sure, not a dub plate. I had it and let it go. I had been DJ'ing with it for ages but no-one seemed interested in it, then as soon as I get rid, everyone wants it. :fool: Jordi

Has anyone got "High on you" by Freedom on Freedom records to sell. Been after this for an age! Jordi
  22. Don't think the 'producer' does mistakes!! Jordi
  23. Billy, I can get you the Satin on Shell for about £500 if you're interested. Jordi
  24. Gareth, I've got a copy of this and I heard it was quite a rare thing. I think I've seen the 'A' side only version going for £25 - £30, so who knows for 'So Sad' as it's by far the better side. So no help there whatsoever, I'll get back to work. Jordi
