I think this thread is far from a witch hunt..... people just want answers to their questions. Their questions aren't unreasonable.... nor are they unjustified. To completely ignore them is more than a little disrespectful... it proves how little Kev Roberts thinks of the people who's hard earned money he's been taking for years... and sticks two fingers up at them for supporting his events. Saying that as he is no longer a member on here and therefore isn't aware of this thread doesn't wash either..... he was logged on less than 2 days ago.

I'm not being funny Pete.... but how exactly do you know it's the best all nighter in the country..... when you don't go to any of the other allnighters in the country? I know i'll get shot down in flames from you for daring to ask you such a question... just curious that's all.....

At the end of the day.... Kev Roberts only gets away with what we (as in 'the soul scene') let him get away with. If... after all this... he gets to carry on as before... ripping people off... bullying... threatening etc.... then shame on us.... ALL OF US!! It's about time we all stopped sitting on the fence with this.... and let him know that it's not ok to treat people the way he does. BUT.... this needs to be done in significant enough numbers to hit him the only place it will hurt... HIS POCKET. So what are the chances of that happening? ..... i know what i think... and this is one time i'm praying that i'm proved wrong.

I have it on Grapevine as well.... pretty sure it's either a little faster or slower than the original ... could be wrong though... will check next time i go down the in laws... Oh... and Stafford 1984-5ish.... but i may be mistaken with the price i paid ... it was Jesse Johnson issue i got for a tenner .... might have been 50 for How .... and that makes me feel really old!

I noticed a few have listed 'Just a fool for you' as there fav ... but for me it's the B side of this record that has got to be my fav Gene Chandler record ... 'BUDDY AINT IT A SHAME' ... very different to his usual style ... just shows what a versatile singer he was!! If you don't know it ... be sure to give it a listen... it's tip top
