  1. I was allowed to vote despite it being a little ahem one sided
  2. I have just bought from Blacka and while it did take a couple of calls to get hold of the lady in sales (my fault for ringing so late in the day) they couldn't have been more helpful
  3. We'll have to agree to disagree but agree
  4. Really? I think it has. Or do you mean in the mainstream sense? I agree about no particular DJ though but that's because a lot have it hence it being played by many Stunning record!
  5. First time I've been home from work in time to listen for ages
  6. Haha ... no
  7. Just Brothers - Go On and Laugh
  8. Surely it would have been better to just put it on at the price she wanted in the first place rather than keep upping it every day? As for under the stairs for another 5 year? I doubt that somehow. If it doesn't go on Ebay it will probably be sold privately to one of the many who have emailed her. Good luck to her, can't say I blame her. Not that I could afford it but the collector in me can't help being a little p*ssed
  9. Was two thousand and something dollars, then four thousand and something and now $5000. Jeez!

Was played last night at a local soul do and there were a couple of die hard souls giving it a good go. Always liked this myself. As already mentioned CODs - She's Fire (Combinations - piece of p*ss lol), Reggie Saddler Combo - Hear My Song (no chance) and Larry Wright - Sweet Sweet Kisses (although Jocko managed it from start to finish at the Wilton once)
  11. No disrespect but I think with it being such a tight deadline and no way of knowing how much is needed and no way of seeing if that target is reached will make people a little wary. Also what if the required amount isn't raised? What happens to all the money that is raised? A little more clarity would help maybe. Again, no disrespect
  12. Of course there are tunes that people don't know but that's not what I was replying to. It was your comment about travelling to venues to hear records you couldn't hear anywhere else. On the whole, those days are long gone ...
  13. Of course, but those days are long gone. The scene has been going a long time, there are a lot of knowledgeable people out there, there just aren't the amount of unknown records anymore and like it or not there are a lot of DJs with the same records (good records for sure, but the same none the less)
  14. I love it too. Chris Campbell - Got To Pay Dues - USA has the same / very similar backing. BJ is best though
  15. You told me this when he was over here at first the Stafford reunion. Like a girl I believed you and didn't stop to talk when he said hello cos I was looking for heffer
  16. Insistent? Me? Showing off / trying to impress more like Great days for sure and threads like this are just what you need at times to remind you
  17. I agree ( Milton James is ok though) Margaret Little is the perfect song for Cilla Black
  18. Tommy Dent is complete and utter bobbins. The very start is great but it descends into a noisy mess after that. Horrific is the word
  19. Oh I don't know if it has or not Pete, at work so haven't had a chance to listen yet Some fantastic records in there for sure, really looking forward to it
  20. Some great stuff on there. Is it available to listen to with you talking Pete?
  21. Hence the 'laid back' I love it, makes me laugh, proper!
  22. Yes, always good fun when they are on. Deans 'laid back' presenting makes me laugh
