  1. For the sheer amount of incredible all nighter tunes he wrote, coupled with the fact that he was without doubt one of the sweetest, most genuine and humble people I have ever met, for me, it has to be Richard Popcorn Wylie.
  2. Thanks so much for that. I have to say I prefer the other version - but it's always great to hear different takes. Great stuff!
  3. Destroy that Boy on Omack? Well I never knew that!
  4. As far as I know it only came out on Grapevine Harry. Could be wrong though, it has been known
  5. I'll say! My one and only venture into the world of promoting was about the most stressful thing I have ever done. And that was just a one off night that was free for everyone to get in! You have to be ruthless to the point of being vicious to promote these days. Something I don't have in me I'm afraid. I'm not sure we need yet another new night in the already fit to bursting soul calendar but good luck with it anyway.
  6. Wasn't it Gene McDaniels or something?

  8. Ask Tony Foster about it JB... it's his personal photo. Good tune.
  9. I'll take that as a compliment of the highest order Bully. Hope I can be excused the Don Gardner - seeing's as I wasn't in on the last tape swap. Your cd and Mr. Reed's arrived today. Again loads I don't know. Beginning to feel like mine is going to be a bit familiar to everyone. Promise to try harder next one!
  10. Well for that faux pas you have to attend your next six venues wearing a pair of trackie bottoms and trainers
  11. I see Jo whenever I go up to Edinburgh. She hasn't changed a bit. That isn't you is it Mark Oliver?
  12. A bit off topic as I haven't got a jar of glue about who Irene and the Scotts are. Sorry Val. But someone once asked me about a record was that I had played. I replied it was 'Drake and the Ensolids'. To which he replied 'I wonder who or what was an Ensolid'
  13. Hmmm... but it does make the ones that come up for sale rare. Anyway, I must say in all the years I have been on the scene, I have never seen loads of them about.
  14. That's the reason why I got mine out early.
  15. Great! So if LWF comes up for sale there should only be me going for it!
  16. Probably a case of which one you heard first. Which in my case was Little Willie Faulk, 1988 ish, on a tape from Pete Myles.
  17. Snap! Have owned up and included an apology with each cd. Just haven't had much cash to splash on new stuff lately... they were all new purchases in the last year once, just not this year. Hope you can enjoy regardless!
  18. Holy Moley! Jeez... Detroit was some busy place!

Do you know My Woman's Love Kev?
  20. It's good - but Little Willie Faulk is better

Great tune! Kenny put me onto this more years ago than I care to remember. You should get one without much problem.
  22. Cheers Pete! Got yours today hun. And all mine went out first thing this morning
  23. If you say so. I must say though - they are not 'my punters'. Kev and Baz promote Lowton. We're dead lucky - we just turn up on the night and have fun!
