I don't know who this Butch fellow is, but I dig this record. Wouldn't play it out or pay 3 grand for it though...a nice record to just listen to on my own or in the car.

I remember there was an estate sale a little outside of Detroit back in August, 2008 that I tried so hard to go to, but couldn't afford the gas all the way up there, and no one could get off work to split costs. I guess this guy owned a record store in St. Louis that closed down in the 80's, so it was his leftover stock mixed in with his large personal collection of midwestern soul and garage music. Over 100,000 records in total...mix of LPs and 45s. Anyways, I could've gotten my Tomangoe's for $0.50 instead of what I ended up paying for it...

There's a record by Tomorrow's Men on Congress entitled 'Who's That Lady' that has the same backing track as the El Anthony...way better imo.

I'd rather have one of the turntables that plays records with a laser.

For a while one of the guys that was selling the Clara Hardy's was selling off a Bob & Fred every couple of months...he also had a Dusty Wilson on Mutt too.

So is the backing band, the Uptown Sound, from the group JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound? I hope not...those dudes are terrible.

I always thought it was a $500 record, but I guess some people have gotten $800 recently? I think the other one is rarer though.

I think so...Yambo is a chicago label, right? It's on that Numbero Group kid soul comp, which contains a lot of chicago/indiana records.
