  1. I don't know who this Butch fellow is, but I dig this record. Wouldn't play it out or pay 3 grand for it though...a nice record to just listen to on my own or in the car.
  2. Hahaha
  3. I remember there was an estate sale a little outside of Detroit back in August, 2008 that I tried so hard to go to, but couldn't afford the gas all the way up there, and no one could get off work to split costs. I guess this guy owned a record store in St. Louis that closed down in the 80's, so it was his leftover stock mixed in with his large personal collection of midwestern soul and garage music. Over 100,000 records in total...mix of LPs and 45s. Anyways, I could've gotten my Tomangoe's for $0.50 instead of what I ended up paying for it...
  4. Prices include paypal fees and shipping costs. Please PM or e-mail me at soule_scorcher67@hotmail.com if interested in anything. The Monitors - Greetings!.. We're The Monitors (Soul, released 1968) M- $50 Still in the original shrinkwrap, but has the bottom left corner cut. Every track on this is great. Willie Hutch - Soul Portrait (RCA, released 1969) M- $40 SOLD Thanks, Nick Soule
  5. Yup. My mistake.
  6. There's a record by Tomorrow's Men on Congress entitled 'Who's That Lady' that has the same backing track as the El Anthony...way better imo.

I'd rather have one of the turntables that plays records with a laser.
  8. For a while one of the guys that was selling the Clara Hardy's was selling off a Bob & Fred every couple of months...he also had a Dusty Wilson on Mutt too.
  9. So is the backing band, the Uptown Sound, from the group JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound? I hope not...those dudes are terrible.
  10. On a regular basis.... Only thing is, I can never tell if they're real or not for the first couple hours I'm awake. I walked around one morning last week thinking that I worked at a record store with John Cusack and was in charge of pricing 45s.
  11. So True. I remember hearing that Aret used to play whole sets of 'Heat Wave' inspired/soundalike records. Haha.
  12. Frances Nero - Keep On Loving Me (first track to get me hooked on soul) The Isley Brothers - This Old Heart Of Mine (2nd soul record I ever bought)
  13. He's had it up for auction before and his reserve(guessing 2k) wasn't met. He also tried to sell it on here along with a Al Williams on Palmer under the name konrad or something.
  14. I always thought it was a $500 record, but I guess some people have gotten $800 recently? I think the other one is rarer though.
  15. That guy put most of that stuff up on ebay...at least the four gents and the quotations.
  16. Any playable copy will do. The Quotations - I Don't Have To Worry (DiVenus) Thanks, Nick Soule
  17. Any playable copy will do. Thanks, Nick Soule
  18. I think so...Yambo is a chicago label, right? It's on that Numbero Group kid soul comp, which contains a lot of chicago/indiana records.
  19. He owes me the three jades actually. It's an inside joke thing...
  20. Was asking for this a little while back with no luck...hope things go differently this time. Looking for a playable copy of: The Quantrells - Can't Let You Break My Heart / Show Me The Game Of Love (Yambo) Thanks, Nick Soule
  21. Price reduced to $215. Anyone?
