  1. Don't know it Simon Stick a sound file up and if like it, I might break into my penny jar!
  2. Don't know what to really make of this, great or crap?
  3. Argh, forgot how bad this is!
  4. Sounds a bit too 'hotel lounge' for me. He needs to put a bit more effort in if he's gonna convince her to stop shagging the milkman and come back!

  6. Always liked 'Do I Qualify' if only for the lyrics "I may be ugly as sin And he may look like a king But does he know how to treat you right" Track also samples Aretha's 'Chain of Fools'. Sad loss.

Busta Jones & Supremes are resonable covers.

  11. The cheeky 'Dewerst the Butchers' busterd! 20 English pounds for it to remixed? Kindley send me it back Mr D! Martin tape swap on the way
  12. I'm sure he'll do it at cost, if not I'll do it for you
  13. No! Try: Carl Fortnum Andy Rix Mick H Ady Potts & North Wales ? Speaky
  14. What's the remix like? Have you got a sound file? Thanks
  15. I doubt it, rare as the proverbial rocking horse sh*t peppered with hen's teeth!. Bast'rd thing took me nearly 24 years to get; thanks you Carl Forntum & Alan Dawes. Strange thing is since I've had it (about 14 months now) only ever played it a couple of times! Like that elusive lass you've been wanting to form a deep and meaningful relationship with since youth club? :-) Part 2 is the best side, wonder who the saxophonist was? Looking on the bright side it didn't cost me half of that one.
  16. Listening some Motown and was thinking which muscian I would like to have been. Tonight Mathew I'm:- probably James Jameson as he held the tracks together, but then again maybe Andrew 'Mike' Terry so I could nip off in my spare time and make some proper Detroit records. Then again I might be Benny B and based my drum beats on a fat lady's wobbling backside. Perhaps Marv Taplin or Earl Van Dyke so I could make great music and read the paper at the same time. Maybe unearth that box of 'I'm Gone' from under my extensive tambarine collection, sell them to some daft middle aged limies and retire in the sun? Might marry the bosses sister, flog the drum kit and move to Belgium.....maybe not Belgium :-) Who would you be?
  17. PM ' Pete S ' on here he's got a DVD with it on.
  18. It's a well known fact that all copies have surface noise; a scouser was over in the US looking for employment and was paid by the CIA to track down copies and inflict damage to the grooves with a rusty nail. Once done, the bloke would 'sign it off' by writting his initials on the label; true story, ask Mike, it was his cousin Yosser!
  19. Might be, check out this thread on here about those motown acetates /index.php?showtopic=26883
  20. There's fook all in Cambridge apart from a big river & me! Don't know of any shops selling vinyl except a few 12"'s in HMV Andy's and the one just up from it, Max's, Parrott and that one opposite, all closed about 3 years ago or more. There's never owt on the market and I'm sure Andy's stall on Ely's Saturday market has long gone (could be wrong, got a phobia of Cathederals / cities) However, there's a few decent pubs and lots of top totty about when the sun's out so check the long term weather forcast for those dates.
  21. Came out on Cottilion 7", (but maybe only issues?) bit shorter than the L.P. version
  22. Anacostia , Stafford monster , not seen one , for sale for ages . a very nice bit of 70's magic Simon M
  23. Not if I spot one before you!
  24. Brand New - Thousand Years - Du Vern (& It'll probably take you 1000 years to get one, damn!)
