I like it, but as most people have said "over familiarilty breeds contempt". Mind you I couldn't tell you when I last heard it played out . As for Pikeys mention of only if it was an original, what about all those UK originals? That is a subject that I always find confusing. Why some records it seems to be acceptable to play the UK release, whereby it isn't for others. FW for example.

Personally I won't bid on anything graded as VG. The only exception being if there is a good quality soundclip (which proves it's not knackered) and it is from the actual record for sale.

What was the first release, Loop or Dynamo? Just been looking at this on the net, I was under the impression that the Loop release was the original. But having just looked on Dave Rimmers site it has the Dynamo release dated as 1970 and the Loop release as 1972. I've got a copy on Loop (minus the label for the other side, Roaches) and also got it on a Kent CD (Magic Touch). Unfortunately I don't have the CD to hand to check what the notes say. Anyway if someone could let me know, thanks.

I like to read playlists, I'm always suspicious of those events that don't post up playlists. On the rare occasions I've posted mine up, I've listed demos if played. I don't have to justify to anyone why I do it, I just do. I will admit to reading a playlist and then maybe trying to listen to some of it on here or other sites (God forbid if I should buy any of it). Perhaps we should stop magazines printing articles with recommendations for records & Cd's, in fact let us ban anything that may lead us to discovering any kind of record/song that we would never hear of otherwise.

Ditto. Sadly missed, I sometimes feel he was taken for granted by us over this side of the pond. What I'm trying to say is that whereas some acts are only seen once or twice at weekenders, he was performing all year round in the UK, so people knew what to expect whereas with others there's that excitement as you never know what to expect. With Edwin you always knew you were in for a great show. I remember once in Aldershot he was accused of miming (due to backing tapes being used), so he turned off the tapes and sang acapella, excellent! I hope this makes sense.
