  8. Mikey, Supergrass!
  9. Although saying that, if anybody has a copy of Flame 'N' King's, Ho Happy Day on NYCS for £15 I'd be interested!
  10. My mistake :fool: , apologies to Mr Smith yet again.
  11. There's probably more change in the actual Grapevine releases than the originals!
  12. Pete, I couldn't have believed in the past you would have used this as an excuse for a preference of choice. I'd have thought you would have gone on about vocal qualities, backing singers, lyrics, etc.,
  13. I won't be spending anything for a little while, possibly until next year! Am totally skint, plus now I've got to save up for Prestatyn.
  14. But after Saturday I wouldn't know what to expect of Joe Dutton. Clip Clop Banjo Music or Saturday Night Fever Disco Tunes?
  15. I might be being a bit naieve, but I'd have thought most people would know who were residents at which clubs and who weren't. I can't really see what all the fuss is about anyway, because in some ways it gives exposure to the clubs at which the DJ's have played at as well! I'm all confused now, so I'm going for a lie down!
  16. Well, I've just reserved a chalet for Prestatyn. It seemed to be a case of now or never, so I thought why not?! So at least this will give me something to look forward to over the long winter months!
  17. I got this a couple of years ago in a secondhand shop (bought blind), one other thing it's LOUIS Dyer not Lewis!
  18. Also depends on how much alcohol you have drank!
  19. www.covers33.co.uk do reproduction sleeves as well cheaper than Manship.
  20. Mr Tea (member who lurks, hello Terry ) who lives near me attended Prestatyn this year. The only problem he said he had, was that he lost his wallet there with £350 in it. Also that the chalets were freezing, but then he said he was at the bar most of the weekend. I suppose if I'm going to choose, it will be a straight choice between Prestatyn & Cleethorpes. Prestatyn for the artists that are on and Cleethorpes, because I get the impression that it's much more informal (more my style ). Does anybody have any idea as to what the fees are for these two next year? As in my position money will pay an important part as well, unfortunately! Anyway thanks for all the comments.
  21. Having never attended a weekender before, I am giving serious thought to attending one next year. However financial and family restraints would mean that I could only attend one. The problem being when I see all the write ups for them it makes it hard to choose just one, from Cleethorpes, Prestatyn, Fleetwood, Whitby, Skegness, Northampton amongst others! Also having to book up my annual leave for 2006 before November, doesn't help matters. So therefore I'm after peoples recommendations and thoughts, more from the punters point of view than the promoters. If you could only attend one weekender in 2006, which one would it be?

    How Romantic!
  23. Plus the bit with his Jukebox and girlfriend. "got any change, 26B, bit of Marvin, you can't whack it!" utter class!
  24. Yes, the Electric Bill!
  25. My mate (who's a non-soulie) has just bought the DVD of Peter Kay's, Driven To Distraction. He said "There's a song on there that sounds like it should be Northern Soul, right at the start". So I borrowed the DVD and watched it last night, he was right. In the opening sequence you can hear the familiar voice singing "On her way to work one morning.........". I can assure you he hasn't heard me play it! I was wondering if Peter Kay was bit of a Soul fan as in Phoenix Nights first series you can hear Soulful Shack playing as background music of one scene. Also on the DVD he does a deleted scene where Brian Potter mentions dancing at Clubs in the North West, in the commentary he says about they used to be Northern Soul Clubs. Anybody know if he's into soul?
