  1. I saw this on Ebay last year (seller: recordmanx) with an opening price of $6.99, at the time I thought it was unusual as there was a soundclip with it. Being the naieve fool that I am I thought I might get another cheapie, that was until it sold for $6,000! Here's a link to when I first raised it on Soul Source last July >> Click Here << Plus take a look at this, I think it could be out of date now though. >> soundclips & copy for sale?? << Why couldn't it of had a buy it now price of $6.99, when I first saw it?
  2. How about these two cheapies.. Bobby Moore - Call Me Your Anything Man (Hotline/Pye) Louis Dyer - I Wanna Make Love To You (Little Star)
  3. I bought this for a quid off Ebay (on Pye label), I'm still not sure if I like it though?! I played the other side "There's No You" on Friday down my Club, sounded even better out loud than it does at home. A man after me own heart (spending the wife's money). Martha & Vandellas, I put this on a CD for a woman at work. She can't help playing it whilst doing her housework! Edwin Starr's, I Have Faith In You, an absolute class tune. So much better than Doni Burdick's version, wouldn't you agree Pete-S?
  4. I've asked this before in the past, it's just because I'm nosey! Also it's a good way of seeing what people are buying, might lead to a few new discoveries and possible wants. Well here's my last 6, nothing of any great value but they all add to the collection. Bobby Bland - Shoes EP - Kent (with pic cover) Candy & The Kisses - Mr Creator b/w Chuck Jackson - Hand It Over - Kent Delores Hall - Good Lovin' Man - Keymen Jimmy Delphs - Almost - Karen Betty Everett - Getting Mighty Crowded - Fontana Sandi Sheldon - You're Gonna Make Me Love You - Epic promo Now, where's me list to get the next 6.......
  5. Surely it lies with the Owner of the premises not the Promoter. I don't think a promoter would like to run the risk of loosing a venue, just because an individual wants a fag!
  6. Doh! Am I thick or what? :fool: I should've known it would be on his site. But just incase I wasn't the only one that didn't know details here they are from Howards site >> Soul 45 Collector << SOUL UP NORTH THE FANS FANZINE For all that's soulful, this is the only mag you need. It's got the lot !!!!!! Cover price is only £2.00 (+50p postage ). Issued quarterly. 1 years subscription is £10.00 for 4 issues (including postage). Contact (and make make payments payable) to:- Howard Earnshaw 19 Rectory Drive, Kirkheaton Huddersfield, HD5 0JT England Tel. 01484 535999
  7. Some details as to how to get a hold of a copy would be handy. Address, email, website or something???
  8. Thanks for the info, seems I got bit of a bargain then. I was watching that copy on Ebay, but I didn't bid as I bought a couple of cheapies during the week. I had to save me money for a wedding yesterday, bought 2 pints of Fosters for me mates = £5.80!!
  9. I picked this up this morning at a car boot for a tenner. Anyone know how much a dealer would charge for a promo copy? I've tried to find a price on the net, to no avail. I know an Epic issue went for £20 the other day on Ebay. On popsike there's a couple of Okeh promos at $795 & $835, plus two reissues at £63 & £82.
  10. You could always get one of these copies: Where at least the artist gets some money from it's sale, unlike an original copy on Ebay where the seller gets all the money! >>Patrinell at release party for Wheedle's Groove LP<<
  11. cocked up again!
  12. Shane, so your first impression of him was correct then?
  13. The first ones I can remember are from The Dolphin pub in Kingston, they used to have a mod/scooterist night on Wednesday evenings back in the 80's. Tunes like: Beverly Ann - He's Coming Home The Capitols - Cool Jerk Benny Spellman - Fortune Teller Stuff from on the scooter runs in the 80's: Billy Butler - The Right Track Alfie Davison - Love Is A Serious Business Detroit Prophets - Suspicion Frankie Valli - The Night I couldn't actually say any one for definite, more of a batch.
  14. I agree with Dave on the above. I'll be doing my Clive Owen impressions this Friday!
  15. I'm going to blame Gene for starting them, it wasn't me honest!

You could always sell your car and buy a nice cheap girly car like a fiesta.
  17. Billy just playing the "Never" side via Soul Club, very nice. Maybe the reason why nobody has bid is because Manship has one for sale at a tenner, just a thought.
  18. Have you got the shoe in a size 10?
  19. The advertising is because he's been listening to Kev Roberts! By the way welcome to the Mental Asylum!
  20. That's where I got my copy from about three months ago. They've got one listed still at £12.
  21. I thought my measly contribution to this thread had been overlooked. How about the following records with regards to the original post on this topic?? Syl Johnson - Try Me Big Joe Turner - Two Loves Have I
  22. I think it's excellent. Unfortunately for me I can't spend £50 on a record let alone £150, so the chances of me getting a copy are somewhat remote. I've only heard it played out once, I don't go out often enough to be sick of it. I've recently been playing it on the computer (Soul Club) and my mate who thinks all my records are shite (or rip-offs of something else), actually likes it.
  23. One record I can't see the appeal of is... Barbara Dane - I'm On My Way
  24. Try >> Maxs Badges <<, I think they're part of Warrior Clothing not too sure though.

How about, "I'm Horny, Horny, Horny, Horny" ?
