Used to go to loads of the two tone concerts at Tiffanys, it's now a library... Saw: Specials, Madness, Gods Toys, Selector, Swinging Cats...can't remember anymore now. It got a bit mad one night when a fight broke out and glasses flew everywhere. I used to go over with my older cousins as my mother would never have let me over to Coventry, it wasn't long after the pub bombings. We used to have to jump on the milk train to get home. Good job I'm more sensible now...

Whilst our eldest was growing up, so many things were sampled or re-issued. I was always hearing him say, my mum and dads got the original... Even when he started clubbing, he kept complaining that "that bloody northern haunts me everywhere."... Now he's got two children and spends more time at home, he recons it's always on the telly now... I'm sure he thinks we are behind it and doing his head in... And as for Soft Cell, after hearing their version of "What", I stamped on mine...the only record I've ever felt compelled to destroy.
