  1. Yes, they are different takes. Although the Chicago group the Creations is credited on the record, it is actually the Brothers of Soul singing. Apparently, the Creations went to Detroit to record "A Dream" with the Brothers Of Soul as producers, but the group had the Air Conditioning turned on in the hotel room overnight and most of them woke up unable to sing properly the next day - the only person from the Creations actually on the record is Gerald Dickerson. Cheers Richard
  2. For me the stand out tracks heard first on Kent LPs were: Bobby Williams - Baby I Need Your Love (Sure-Shot) Carl Carlton - I Can Feel It (Back Beat) Shirley Lawson - One More Chance (Back Beat) Felice Taylor - I Can Feel Your Love (Kent) Fiestas - Think Smart (Old Town) Wow! Richard

  5. Nice one Bob - yes that makes a lot of sense On the Big Hit 45 being later, I was puzzled to see the date on the attached scan taken from eBay a while ago showing the date as 1971 Can anyone confirm the date this fabulous record was actually released please (sounds too late for '71 but I guess it could be)? Cheers Richard
  6. The Young Sisters were three young Italian girls who hailed from the east side of Detroit and attended Servite High School. Patti Masaglia was the oldest, and sisters Lisa and Angela Pomilia rounded out the group. Cheers Richard
  7. The lead singer of the top-drawer group Cynthia and The Imaginations (Magic City & Blue Rock) and Cynthia & Imaginary Three (Big Hit) was Cynthia Girty. But who were the Imaginations and the Imaginary Three? And were the two backing groups the same but with just a slight name change, or were the line-ups different? Any info much appreciated Cheers Richard
  8. Hi all Need a green issue or WDJ copy of Sandra Richardson - Stay Here With Me (Inter/Soul) please (not orange or red issues thanks) If you can help out please PM me Thank you! Cheers Richard
  9. Just worth noting that the Soul Brothers WDJ (if it's the same as mine) is unusual among the D-Town WDJs in that it has a watermark in the paper which I think says "DJ COPY" across the label (you can just about see this in the attached scan). Still think from the info and pic available that the other pic is most probably a worn issue - sorry Richard
  10. Me too - looks like the issue Any other distinguishing marks for a W/D? Cheers Richard
  11. Great - nice one Rob - much appreciated Anyone know which one Patti is please? They don't really look like sisters to me - obviously hoping Patti is the better looking one of the three! Don't mind Flynny - he loves his emoticons Cheers Richard
  12. Ouch! sorry about that Dave Totally agree about that break - it's excellent and by far the best part of the song Thanks everyone for all your comments Anyone ever seen and/or could post up a picture of Patti Young please? Cheers Richard
  13. Also at the end of Willie Kendrick - Change Your Ways in the ad-lib bit at the end - but can't be that as you wouldn't be asking what it was Cheers Richard

  15. OK - now I would really like to know who the Ric-Tic obsessive is - or are we supposed to know that already? - and why they say this is a 100% guaranteed counterfeit please I have this copy too and have an open mind on this particular version of the 45 but - I am also a Ric-Tic obsessive - so with all due respect to Tony and his mate I want to hear a more evidence-based theory please, rather than just that he sits behind Tone at work Cheers Richard
