  3. Hi everyone Quick bit of advice please, as I need to pay for an eBay item but have a query on the shipping Anyone know what options a US seller has regarding eBay rules and shipping with tracking? I bought a decent item from a well-known US seller who is looking to charge USD $47.00 for USPS Express Mail International. This is the only fully tracked option they say eBay will accept. Is that right please and, if not, what other options are there that would mean they are not falling foul of Ebay rules? Cheers Richard
  4. Cheers Russ Interesting stuff. What's the pressed by by Compo in Cornwall comment all about? Richard
  5. Come on Tee - you know you want to post that letter up on here Richard

  7. Cheers Dave - much appreciated Richard
  8. Hi everyone Just looking up stuff on Al Gardner - Sweet Baby (Sepia). This also came out on the Paris based label Googa-Mooga. The Pic sleeve on the French release credits the players - including backing vocals from The Ebonies. Anyone got the details on the Ebonies please? Pic sleeve below - taken from interweb . I know the same backing was used by the Cavaliers for the unreleased RCA track "Ooh It Hurts me". There was another version of that but I can't remember who it was - anyone know please? Cheers Richard Click on pic to see large image
  9. Me too
  10. Hey Neil Would you mind putting prices back on sold and on hold items please, as per site guidelines? Lots of us like to see what things went for - and the sales forum is used by many as a reference to search and look back at past sales etc. Thank you Richard
  11. Thought would mention you missed out the Al Gardner scan mate
  12. Ahem - dressed as a Soul Superman!
  13. Ironic the seller must have been one of the few that hadn't read Manship's Guide
  14. On now until 9pm - the TNT Soul Show. Dean and Jez in the studio playing some great great soul music. Online www.tulip-radio.co.uk Cheers Richard
  15. How much is it please? Cheers Richard
  16. This auction is going to be a right old cock-waving competition
  17. Can you imagine the arguments - given we can't even agree on soul music basics ? ... It's my turn - no it''s my turn - but you played it last time - no you did - it's not fair ...
  18. Mind you John has Lee Rogers - Love & War on auction too and says: and it’s by far the hardest NS record on the label Think that one needs a re-write as "by far the hardest LEE ROGERS NS record on the label" Richard
  19. It's that f*cking Frank Wilson record again with the darned W.O.L. Def Mello Souls
  20. How are you measuring longest? Is it most characters in the artist name? Or is it longest total length in millimetres - whereby a really long artist name could still lose if they foolishly used a really small font? If we don't have clear rules we will not know who has won! Cheers Richard
  21. It's all good stuff and interesting though Cheers Richard
  22. Think the high number of "not very good" votes is intriguing. Maybe suggests a follow on poll or thread to get under the skin of this might be interesting? Richard
  23. Nice guys - but this is about artist title - not song title Cheers Richard
  24. The other side of this record also had a different mix. On the flip of the normal 219 mix the number is shown as 220. The record is credited to "The Fabulous Peps" and the song title is shown as "Speak Your Peace". The flip of the rare 689 mix is 690. The group is just shown as "The Peps". The song title is shown as "Speak Your Piece". Scan of mine below. Cheers Richard Click on picture to see larger image
  25. Correct - got it on a tape from that era. Great record.
