  1. I'm deliberately double-posting as there seem to be new and old threads going on this ... Dead wax shows 'Archer' scratched in 'GM' scratched in, an 'R' scratched in with a squiggle loop on the tail of the 'R' on both sides. The matrix numbers are 'A-11241' and 'A-11242' scratched in respectively. I got mine from John Anderson I recall. Cheers Richard

  3. I still have the record, so will look it out and let you know the info when I get a chance Cheers Richard
  4. Thanks Chalky - I forgot about that - saves me pulling and scanning the 45 now too Cheers Richard
  5. Yes, either insisting on a 'gift' payment, or asking the purchaser to pay the paypal fees Richard
  6. Yes Robb - it is credited on the label to Labney Music Publishing - like all or most of the other releases on Dynamics The label owner was Butler Abney. It's on vinyl and the dead wax markings include Archer and GM both scratched in. Not sure about date of release though. Maybe need to pull the record to have a look at the other details. Cheers Richard
  7. Yes, they were all pretty good to be honest - I also liked Willie Tee - what an artist! DP has bloody good taste Cheers Richard
  8. Yes, some of my faves played tonight DP - great to hear them come on the 'radio' when you're not expecting them Jackey Beavers - Bring Me All Your Heartaches (Grandland) Steve Mancha - I Don't Want To Lose You (Groovesville) Sandra Richardson - Stay Here With Me (Inter/Soul) There was a version of 'I've Been Trying' I caught a snippet of - was it Four Gents (didn't think it was Fab Peps) - didn't hear enough to nail it! Cheers Richard
  9. Nice - I especially like the way Edwin does the 'double-o' thing with his hands - very cool Cheers Richard
  10. I have Maxine Jenkins 'Black of Face' on Dynamics. Same label but different numbering system to the above (would need to check numbers but not 1018). Label colour is dark red. Cheers Richard
  11. From PayPal website - some headline information: Buying something PayPal is free whenever you use it to buy something or make a payment in the UK. The seller pays us a small fee to securely handle your payment. As a buyer, we will not charge you to use PayPal unless it involves currency conversion. Selling something Depending on the volume of sales or invoices, PayPal charges sellers a fee of between 1.4% and 3.4% on the total sale amount plus a 20p per transaction. See a full breakdown of seller fees. Cheers Richard
  12. PayPal normal arrangement is the seller pays the fees. This is automatic. Asking the seller to pay is a change to that normal arrangement. Gift is OK if the seller offers no quibble full refund (as buyer signs away protection). Don't think asking buyer to pay the fees for protection is good form. Plus, as I said at the start, the PayPal principle is that the seller pays. Cheers Richard
  13. What about an unissued track - not on acetate, or CD? How about getting one of those cut so you can play it on disc? Then how about playing it out? Cheers Richard
  14. I know, I know Richard
  15. Pleeeeeease Thank you Richard
  16. Nice! Is there a track listing please? Cheers Richard
  17. That would be brilliant Chalky - thank you I don't really know what I'm doing when it comes to editing programmes Thanks very much Cheers Richard
  18. Actually - does anyone know if they can edit a track. The recording I'm thinking of has talking in the studio at the start and ends a little abruptly. Would they be able to edit off the talking at the start and then do a nice fade out over the abrupt ending? If so I could have the full recording on one side and the edited version on the other Cheers Richard
  19. Cool - cheers guys! Richard
  20. Cool - thanks Chalky Think it will be a single tracker - so will go for the 7" Thanks for the tip about the labels Cheers Richard
  21. Great - thanks for all the info and tips guys Right - think I'm going to get one done then Maybe get a 7 inch, but what would be the advantages of the 10" acetate if any? Better quality? Cheers Richard
  22. It's an unissued track I got from you mate Richard
  23. Thanks mate but I only have it as an MP3 - is the compression process reversible to uncompress it - or am I just stuck with it? Cheers Richard
  24. Yes mate Wand tracks were recorded in Memphis I believe Cheers Richard
