  3. Hi all Anyone tell me anything about Jesse Potter & The Fabulairs who recorded 'Now I Think Am Ready' on Big 8 Records please? The flipside is a version of James Brown's 'It's A Man's World'. Apparently 'Now I Think Am Ready' is getting plays on the scene - if so where and who is playing it please? Cheers Richard Jesse Potter & Fabulairs - 'Now I Think Am Ready' (Big 8) https://soundcloud.com/user1502162/jesse-potter-fabulairs-now-i

  11. Please guide me Coming at it this with an open mind Always loved the Isleys but never collected Motown Did have that MFP LP with them in the lovely orange suits though as a kid - their version of 'Nowhere To Run' is definitive IMO and 'Got To Have You Back' etc. Keep 'em coming folks Cheers Richard
  12. This is rare Northern soul mate - authentic vinyl antiques - there is a pecking order - kind of goes ... the real deal, the next best thing, then the not quite cuts it, then the fake You wouldn't get this kind of chat on Bargain Hunt or Dickinson's Real Deal (if that's what they are) about whether something was the true original or not Would you pay the full price for the genuine first original if you were buying the second re-release? Don't think so. Cheers Richard
  13. Hope I'm not duplicating or treading on any toes re artist of the week etc. but I have always loved the Isley Brothers and was wondering what people rated as their best tracks Don't collect Motown labels But of the decent Isley's Northern/Rare Soul style 45s which ones shoud I break the habit and buy? Cheers Richard
  14. Fabulous idea mate But which one first??? Cheers Richard
  15. Mighty Lover rather than Cool Off by a mile mate But 'Might Lover' is better by the Mighty Lovers on the yellow labelled vinyl Boo-Ga-Loo as opposed to the Ideals' copy on purple/blue styrene Cheers Richard
