  1. I've played it and the sound does drop at the end. It's a boot then. Thanks for the info.
  2. I didn't realise there were so many different Jimmie Raye boots. What are the differences between boot and original please? Here's mine which looks very much like the one on popsike although I have always believed mine to be a boot Cheers
  3. Alright Jimmy aka Harry Thompson. I already posted this lot in All Our Yesterdays. See you at the Ashley Club on the 20th? Cheers Mick

These are pics are NOT taken by me. Another soul fan from Blackpool, who managed to gain access during the demolition, took these. Even sadder to see.......... https://pa.photoshelter.com/c/phsp/gallery-...1E4.T1pE?start=

As you know the Mecca is being demolished to make way for a new College campus. I have took a few pictures over the past week or so. Can you still see yourself going up the famous escalators? Fantastic memories.

One on ebay now from Barrie Waddington who posts on here. I've had plenty of 45s from him. Usually good/great quality too. Have a gamble, although I agree £125 seems the "going rate". You might get a bargain. https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=200294683992 Cheers and good luck

Please - Can anyone tell me what I would expect to get for Linda Jones - Just Can't Live My Life on UK Warner Brothers? Popsike has prices over the past 3 or 4 years between £20 and £60 ish. The scan is my copy and is at least VG+. I can't remember the last time I heard it played out either so I have no idea of demand. The absolutley superb My Heart Needs A Break seems to dominate Thanks for any help and maybe I have answered my own question!

I saw her on the early part of the show singing "Heatwave". It was awfully sad to hear. I'm just grateful she didn't try to sing "No One There" I think I would have cried.
  17. I got one off the bay 4 December for $49 - so £40 ish blue tarpon no scuffs etc

Try the other side - "no time for love ". two great sides for $30 I paid a few weeks ago
  19. Blimey - Cecil Washington and the Group on Prophonics, -I can't wait for that. Truly, truly magnificent. I will get my wife's car up for sale asap.
  20. I've never heard of it. And the description of "unknown floor filler" doesn't stack up either. Not on Manship site either. Simple answer is: I have no idea
  21. Correct. Get yourself a copy of Johnny Sayles " Dont Turn Your Back On Me" on the same label with same date/year on. Dirty, filthy, stomping Northern Soul. Should be able to pick a cheapie up off the bay for around £15/20. Brilliant
  22. Popsike has three labels for this mighty fine record. - President, Jerhart and Impression. Various prices for all three. The President appears to be the most valued. Copy going on ebay now. Anyone know the story behind these three ? I take it that these are all originals and none are boots? Thanks for any help
  23. thanks for that modern
  24. I was browsing through a record shop yesterday and a found a copy of Cant Help Lovin That Man - Ila Vann. No price on it and it was just in a pile of disorganised records. I asked that guy what he wanted for it - £80 was the answer and he took it off me and said "it was in the worng place". He said it was an import - French or Spanish - I can't remember now as I was still getting over how it took from me. It was a blue label, definitely, non-English and it also had a blue triangle (same as label) as the centre which was part of the record. (Not a black plastic thingy). Can anyone give me any info about this please? Thanks
  25. Released on Inferno
