anybody want a cheap flight case for their decks and mixer it's fairly old but ok, has new foam, will fit any standard deck and a 9" mixer, has 4 clasps that are lockable with small padlocks and has 2 carrying handles each end. not dented or bashed about but has a few drill holes which could be filled with rivets as it has contained different size stuff great for a starter coffin £25 ish, i,m in grantham lincs, can be collected from here or arrange to meet at any east mids venue i attend. thanks ansd sorry if in wrong section . Wow all this from a couple of Acetates given to me by a well respected dealer, and NO not Pete S !! The "When i,m gone" male track was reputedly found on a master tape and nobody can recall the singer, i have seen and heard it being played out for years now under different names, Sammy Ward was the name i chose to put on it !! The male marie Knight has been played back to back with her version for a while now and sounds different to my ears and thats what i like about them - they are different !! find it hard to believe Glyn that you have never heard Terry Calliers fantastic 70's version (LP only) of Ordinary Joe !! It may have sounded different as i faded it 1/2 way through as it does go on a bit and it was a request !!! And NO i was not offering these tracks for sale, not on or off the mike, don't know where you got that crap from mate but no i don't have my own lathe and no i,m not a dealer. Paul had asked me to play some popular stuff to get the dancers/night going and he said you can slip in some other stuff if you want, i did'nt want to play 75 mins of out and out classics and thought these would make a bit of a change, i played Azie Mortimer - "Haunted" and it cleared the floor !! these so called dodgy tracks got the floor going !! why didn't you come down the front and speak to me ?? i don't bite, i'm a nice guy !!!! you would have seen Span, my mate Roy and i having a bit of a laff and 4 people came to the decks to say what great versions they were and they were told the same as you, i don't know where they came from i just got them off a dealer. There was only 3 records different - no Harold Melvin - house for sale !! remember i played Millies version As Pete said this has been going on for years now and won't be stopping any time soon, as more technology comes available what next eh ?? I play Jimmy Reed Jnr at Barrowby and it gets good reaction, although i must admit to prefering Leroy's version. Paul Seward always plays Leroy downstairs at Skeggy weekender and gets a mixed reaction , like Chalky says both don't seem to be played enough and i would imagine not too many people know Leroy's version due to it's rareity and £350 seems pretty cheap to me unless it was a dog rough copy !!!. Looking for WDJ copy of Jimmy Reed Jr - I aint going nowhere - Murcury, or leroy Barbour version on frontiersman ( did it come out on demo??)

ALL are originals my friend, on the nice blue IN label and i have around 12/15 copys in my collection !, why i don,t know!! it,s one of those sad traits that causes my body to spend every spare(and not so spare) penny on vinyl!!!. Alas none are for sale though,well not yet anyway. i can remember seeing boxes of Frank Beverley 45,s in the US in the early 80,s but cannot remember where!!!, all mint unplayed copys and i let them sit there to fly to calgary to meet some mates!!!

got a white demo on sassy, yours for £450!!, what a bargain !!!, how many demos do you see these days ? exactly!! Back in its day there must have been 25000 copys around, but in 2004 how many are left ?, that play, have a label you can read and look like a piece of vinyl you would want in your box ?, not that many hence the price it fetches. i have lots of copys of Eddie Foster- i never knew, on original IN records but most don,t play or have ripped labels, but could still sell them for £100 each !!! all day. the silly world we live in dictates.

ref the Marvin gaye 45, the boot has been selling for £50+ and was for C. Kings 45th birthday. Originals with pic sleeve in mint cond are easy worth £200/250 no sleeve deduct £100/150. issued 1995 as a freeby to the CD, No,s between 100 and 300 but most were binned as reps etc only wanted the CD !!! if sleeve is B/W then it,s a copy.
