I had never thought about it but it would be quite a few times used to go to the oldies as well, i would say at least 50, but maybe more from 74 onwards we used to just do the Mecca more or less every week also did a few cleethorpes. mark

didnt johhny beggs and a few others try something like this a couple of years ago basically like a swap meet with music in a decent sized room, the greatstone would be ideal now as there is the bar area and the new room where the stalls could be and then you still have the dj area and dancefloor free (if req)i know adrian would be up for this type of thing as it brings him income mid week. mark

teh lou curtan copies were carolina (bootlegs) i presume for the shag scene, the have a tendency to change the names slightly i got the lou curtan one when i bought 16 carolina's records of ebayt a few years ago, bought them for one record The Plaids ask the lonely also got another bootleg this one by willam paul (billy paul) but the other side is a female version of the sames song which is pretty good and i can find nothing about it.
