Hi nev i was one of the ones who jumped on your want sorry but i did pm you and tell you so i am not that bad ( i too had been looking for a couple of years) i was offered several copies but only took one as i thought that you should have the lions share as you say you did put up the want, still a great record though, but i wonder how often it will get played out now. mark
  8. This is very hard to think through as some of us have long history's on the scene so it starts with tunes that forged the begining of my trip 6 X 6 earl van dyke a man like me jimmy james. both from youth discos and clubs psychedelic soul saxie russell meet me halfway lily bryant dont it make you feel funky joe hicks nothing can compare to you velvet satins baby dont you weep edward hamilton good little you joey dee ernie andrews fine young girl spellbound tamiko jones get out harold melvin and blue notes mainstring oscar perry if you and i had never met magic night take me back lee fields the bottle gil scott heron dont you worry baby bessie banks these all come from time at pendulum wigan blackpool mecca cats whiskers and cleethorpes tastes change with time just cant speak jimmy bo horne wrapped around your finger poets didnt hear these until the 90's and to end it would have to be the ender form the best ever soul club califronia montage young holt unlimited its very hard to choose form so many tunes that shaped my life i have not included stuff that i listen too and play now these listed i class as northern but i now listen to and play tunes that are not deemed northern by a lot of people but i will probaly change the list when i can think better its hard to dredge up old memories of tunes. mark.
