  1. YESSS!!! What a stomper! Proper gritty New Orleans stuff. DAMN hard to find as well (a copy recently sold on eBay for what seemed like peanuts considering how seldom it turns up). Have a listen: https://www.soulclub.org/stream/Toni_Washin...Good_Things.ram That Nate Holmes tune mentioned earlier in this thread is also ace in my opinion.
  2. Baby Please Me - george soule - fame 10932 refosoul On the topic of George Soule... not on his new album (which I like, by the way)... but I've been playing his "other" Fame 45 like mad lately. Lovely tune in my opinion.
  3. Here's the link: https://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfrppZ100QQfsoo...ssZontoprecords
  4. No.. .the one I bought from you is a later, entirely different recording... which I prefer.
  5. One went for $285 in february 2005: https://www.popsike.com/php/detaildatar.php?itemnr=4700658050
  6. These auctions ends in about 5-6 hours. Thanks for looking!
  7. My copy of this is on Song Bird. Was ARC its local label release?
  8. You should perhaps try the garage rock forum instead: https://www.garagepunk.com/forums/ Anyway, that's one hell of a superb version of that tune and not exactly an easy 45 to find. Those final desperate screams are out of this world.
  9. Love this! What a fantastic, hard edged stomper.
  10. Are you aware of that the "Hold Back The Tears" track (which I suppose you're after) only is available on the mispressed copies? There are "regular" ones as well which plays the correct Tommy Andre track. Then again, you might be after the "correct" Tommy Andre track and in that case just ignore this comment...
  11. There are at least 4 other good tracks on the LP. Not northern or soul perhaps, but if you're into soul-influenced pop, you should be able to find some good stuff on there. And considering that the LP can be picked up for $10 or less, it's not much of a gamble to pick it up and try it.
  12. How about "Watch The People Dance" released as by Giles Strange on BOOM. It's the same bunch of people who did that. Both sides on that 45 are superb.
  13. I've put together an MP3-mix featuring tracks from my current auctions for those of you who don't have the time to dig through all of the eBay listings. 16. Here are label scans for both releases: Sound effects issue: Non-sound effects issue:
  17. No, just different issues including different mixes of the tune. They were most likely both released the same year.
  18. I posted a soundclip just a couple of days ago here: /index.p...31775&st=76 The label is the exact same as the "usual" one, but with MD 1932 as the catalogue number instead of DM 1879.
  19. Was just digging through some stuff for future eBaying and came across this nice white demo. Different tunes on each side, and a Weldon McDougal sticker!
  20. For sure not the "best" version, but it's not THAT bad. I mean, the tune is quite "wedding reception" to begin with. It's almost as if one would expect that you have something against Hall (& Oates)...
  21. It should perhaps once again be noted that there are TWO different versions of this tune released on 45. Exact same label design, but different catalogue numbers. One has got the sound effects which is also on the 12", the other one hasn't got the sound effects. The "non-sound effects" 45 seems to be very, very rare. The ususal one "should" be £10-£30 though.
  22. It's an eBay thing. Soundclip, properly listed and promoted. It usually goes for £15-£30 on eBay and from UK sellers. The one which just went for £100+ is not even the "rarer" non-sound effects version, it's the "usual" one.

Just posted it in the Media Source section: /index.php?showtopic=36120 Enjoy.
  24. One of the best deep soul tunes ever in my opinion.

Eh... would just post a link to where you can download the MP3-file from on my server... it wouldn't impact how long it takes to open the actual SoulSource thread... or am i missing something?
