Various Sales
Someone buy this. It's a great stomping tune, far better than the Capitols version and at £10, being offered at a very decent price. Have a listen:

No, I did. And I'm quite happy with the outcome to say the least.

Carl Fortum's Darrell Banks Cover-up
As Christian wrote, the mixing/mastering/pressing of the LP is absolutely ridiculous. Anyone without any kind of "studio skills" could've done it better. Perhaps someone should do a proper remixed/remastered (re)issue of "Don't Take You Love" on a 45 (something for Grapevine perhaps? or Sanctuary as they seems to own the rights to Turbo material) because the sound quality on the original Turbo LP cut isn't impossible to "work with", I've done it and I've managed to get some decent sound quality on it (filtering out about 90% of the bass and upping the mid and treble, then running it through a compressor. The japanese reissue/bootleg sounds the same or even slightly worse than the Turbo LP.

Carl Fortum's Darrell Banks Cover-up
Don't know if it's of any interest, but "Don't Take Your Love" by The New Sound has been legally reissued on a Sanctuary/Castle CD-compilation from 2003 entitled "Flying High - The Modern End Of Northern Soul" and consists of Turbo/Today/Vigor/Colossus/HotWax/Stang/AllPlatinum/etc. material.

Great tune indeed!

Archie Bell Where Will You Go
Now that is one hell of a magnificent tune. Pounding bang bang bang stuff. Very hypnotic track and kinda proto-house in feel don't you think? I love it!

Archie Bell Where Will You Go
It wasn't issued as a 45 in the US (...and neither was "Don't Let Love Get You Down" from the same LP which is absolutely bloody amazing - how the hell can they NOT release two of the best tunes on the LP as singles!!?? DLLGYD did get some airplay but played straight from the album which would've decreased its impact). The original release of this tune is the US LP on PIR. The UK 45 is a reissue.

Value Please
Please believe me, there are original issues of "Laws Of Love" a-plenty on eBay ALL THE TIME and they don't sell for more than £8-£20 (tops!). Now... the misspelled label copies... they do sell for ridiculous amounts of money.

Value Please
You're recieving lists from awfully greedy dealers. According to Manship: "First issue has a sky blue background label with dark blue lettering. reissue is white label. with blue lettering" First issues are selling on eBay EVERY single week for £10-£15.

It's £10-£15 absolute tops!

Lenis Guess Question
I disagree. Very poor lead vocal. Annoyingly sped up, he sounds like one of the chipmunks. Sorry, each to their own and all that, but it's Gary US Bonds for me every day of the week.

Three Degrees
Available on a US Rca 45 as well. Seems to be going for the same. Also included on one of his LPs which can be had for £5 or less if you look around.

Worst Ever Motown?
I think the above is a great moody garage rock ballad with a haunting organ arrangement. Was originally issued on the obscure Fenton label, then picked up by Spirit, then Motown.

Lenis Guess Question
The only version of "Workin For My Baby" which matters to me is the one by Gary (U.S.) Bonds on the Legrand label. It's recorded over the same backing track, but has got more oomph, grittier vocals and backing singers. I love this track to bits. Here's an RA of it: (perhaps this is the one you've been liking all along? )

New Cd Release
You're looking at the wrong places/CDs. There's plenty of interesting previously un-comped stuff being released all the time. For those of you who have an interest in soul music that reaches beyond the "northern territory" the following site is a good place which sell a lot of the new stuff: https://www.dustygroove.com

Little Tommy
Yes that was kinda what I was on about, I didn't mean that Little Tommy all of a sudden would start sounding like Bill Bush. I hope that several hundred original copies has been found and that the price of the 45 seriously plummets down so I can afford to buy a copy. That would really be great.

Ebay
As for the supposed Tommy Mosley boot.. is it this one: https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=4719446501 If yes, then please let me know how to determine whether it's a boot or not because that's me auctioning the copy above and I certainly DON'T want to sell bootlegs as originals. The copy on the link above has got a delta matrix stamp (67025) that would date it to have been pressed at about june/july 1967. Any help would be appreciated.
