  1. He did a 45 on the MINI label as well. For some reason Manship has soundclipped the worst side: https://www.raresoulman.co.uk/d/164967/CAPREE,_JONATHAN_.AND._TOGETHERNESS "To Be Free" is no masterpiece, but it's at least uptempo and has got a slight mod jazz feel to it.
  2. No, I don't have a white demo. I just put up the MP3 on YouTube. I've never seen a white demo of this, and doubt that it exists. I'll take down the YouTube clip in a minute and re-upload with another picture. EDIT: here we go, new clip, hope this ends the confusion...
  3. I put up the tune on YouTube as a result of this thread. I thought it was a bit ridiculous that it was not on YouTube when MP3s of the tune are easily found on the internet.
  4. Hello! I've listed a bunch of records on eBay. There are label/sleeve scans and soundclips to everything. Check them out at: https://www.ebay.com/sch/pushkings/m.html Thanks for looking! Take care. /Sebastian
  5. I'll do that. They should get Timmion to master it as "hot" as possible.
  6. Would be fantastic if they actually repressed it and made new stampers with a proper mastering that is much louder. As it is now it sounds very "thin" when you play it at a venue.
  7. Mainly "Walk With A Winner" on Liberty:
  8. Wow... I just listened to this "remix"... it must seriously be one of the worst things I've ever heard. https://www.rarenorthernsoul.com/Rare-70s-80s/26534/reality-remix/#product Absolute and utter rubbish.
  9. Now that's one 45 you don't see offered for sale a lot! Rare and great.
  10. According to several sources Allen Zentz Mastering began their operation in 1974. https://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/essential-allen-zentz-lp-masterings.108679/#post-2440775 https://www.discogs.com/label/254254-Allen-Zentz-Mastering
  11. Jimmy Fraser - Of Hopes And Dreams And Tombstones - COLUMBIA 43407 also released as: Youth Opportunity Program - Of Hopes And Dreams And Tombstones - COLUMBIA 43407
  12. Send it to me as a PM, I might be able to convert it into plain text.
  13. It's now only 2-3 hours to go on these auctions: https://www.ebay.com/sch/pushkings/m.html Thanks for looking!
  14. The so called "proper" ITZY release was itself a re-issue for the "oldies" market in Pittsburgh. ITZY released (and apparently still release!) lots of stuff primarily for that area. The ITZY re-issue has later been bootlegged(!) as well. Bottom line: the ITZY release is a re-issue of the original Swan release.
  15. I don't mean to tell you how to do this, but this is how I would do it: Yes you can tell people what to bid and you should in this kind of situation. First bidder comes in with £5500. Second bidder comes in with a bid of £5500. You contact the second bidder and tell them that there already is a bid of £5500 on the record and that they need to increase their bid if they want to have a chance of purchasing the record. Otherwise they're out. Then you tell the other bidders (if there are any) that a new bid has registered so that they know that they need to up their bids in case they still want to be in the running.
  16. It's now only 2 days to go on these auctions: https://www.ebay.com/sch/pushkings/m.html Thanks for looking!
  17. Original vs. bootleg/counterfeit below. Notice the "copied" appearance and much thinner lettering on the bootleg. I regularly see the counterfeits of this title being offered as originals.

  19. Sebastian replied to a post in a topic in Record Sales
That's one hell of a rare and great 45. Hardly ever turns up for sale. Took me years to track down a copy.
  20. I know what you mean, but it does exist as a counterfeit. Different width of the dead wax, pressed with low volume (the original is super loud) etc. A quite convincing bootleg, but with obviously "copied" label details (poor definition to the outlines of the text) if you have an original side by side to compare it with. I've had it and sold it.
  21. Great artist! I've been playing this a lot lately:
  22. That's vinyl. The label is moulded into the plastic (i.e. there is no "edge" of the label where you could - if you wanted to - put your nail and try to peel it off).
  23. That doesn't look like a styrene record. If you post a photo of the record outside of its sleeve, showing the edges of the label, someone on here can tell you for definite if it's vinyl or styrene.
  24. The white demo/promo was definitely bootlegged/counterfeited. Probably done early in the history of the "scene". It is mentioned in the 5th edition of Manship's price guide.
