Most venue's that i visit dont have security or door staff & i prefer those night's, as it's nice to be in a friendly club where you dont need a type of bouncer A couple of places i have been to, where they had door staff, they still let some trouble makers in, & i noticed that one of the places, the trouble makers where friends of the door staff, so what's the point of having them! many yrs ago i had a 7" Stax Single by Major Lance.... buggered if i remember the title first line goes like this : "late again for work today, but i dont care no more, the boss is gonna dock my pay, like he did the week before" anyone ?

I would take him to one of those noisy, over crowded, trouble makers out for a fight kind of club or pub, then he might think, "come back soul nights all is forgiven!" Thats what happened to me when i was dragged, kicking & screaming into one of those places! My partner Ian would be quite happy to go elsewhere, but its just not for me, oh no! If i listened to anything else, i would loose my marbles! I have been on the scene for about 20 years & yes there is more to life than Northern Soul, but i have never found any music or club nights that i prefer, so i stick to what i enjoy! In fact, i got a divorce because he came between me & my Northern Soul!

I registered moneyclaim online and saw it wants 25 quid (refunded on sucessful completion) to process the claim. i was'nt sure if its a guaranteed result or would it go further ? any thoughts please ?

Debbie - Everyone would like something for nothing, but i would have to agree with Incognito, the door prices are very good, as i have friends on the 40s & 50s scene & the average door price for some of the venues they visit is £8 to £10 We will travel for a good night! Or we go to our regular venues that we know will be playing what we want

Debbie - This just goes to show there is no respect for other people, if someone has to get personal! If you read the thread, we were not saying dont put talc down at all, we said just consider other people who may not want it thrown all over them, by just putting a bit down when you need it! Just for the record Di, no i dont have a boring life, & when i go to a venue, i dance 95% of the time on any floor, in any shoes & without talc! P.s I see you have visited my website for the icon!
