  2. LP will cost you all of $10, the Sunny/River Deep 45 is a $5 record.
  3. ha ha at McGann. It's actually a really good LP, the original version of "Compared To What", a nice version of "Sunny" which is on Mercury 45 that I play out from time to time. Worth the $10-$15 it will cost you.
  4. I dig that Tenth Dymentions 45, definitely have that sitting here in a pile somewhere.
  5. in two parts this week thanks to the internet restarting https://www.ustream.tv/recorded/23042441 https://www.ustream.tv/recorded/23043452
  6. Not much to add except that their version of I Wanna Be Free has been ruling my drive to work all week, can't believe so much quality stuff lay unreleased at Elektra for so long!! https://www.amazon.com/Wanna-Be-Free-Album-Version/dp/B00122OJ6Q
  7. Had some time tonight to rip some of my current faves, nothing crazy just awesome tunes that flow well. Haven't dome a proper soul mix for a while. Enjoy. 8. also some info here https://waxidermy.com/the-intentions-dig-it-shovel/ very rare, I know of 3 maybe 4 copies in collectors hands.
  9. mainly northern this week with a bit of funk & slower stuff at times, guest spot from Paul Sheridan playing some Casino Classics. https://www.ustream.tv/recorded/22879731
  10. They are all either Vicki Williams or Vikki Styles and are the collected works of both artists (or maybe just the one artist ) minus the elusive Vicki Styles 45 on Lynn's. You can hear them all below. https://greenvilleandbeyond.wordpress.com/artists/vikki-styles/ https://greenvilleandbeyond.wordpress.com/artists/vicki-williams/ The more I listen, the more I think they are the same person.
  11. need to sort if it's the same recording or a different vocalist.
  12. only the flip of that 45 which is the 4th clip that copies the Aretha Franklin backing.
  13. it's ok, the terrible condition on that last one doesn't help.
  14. it's a weird situation, I have an artist saying these are all the same singer but this seems to fly in the face of what the records sound like & what other collectors/researchers have said. i don't know whether to believe the artist or my (& seemingly everyone elses) ears.
  15. Ok, so I have clips from 8 songs below & have been told different things by several different but plausibly reliable sources. Have a listen & answer the following: Would you say that these are all the same singer? If you were told these were two different singers & the first clip is singer A, how would you identify the other 7 clips in terms of As & Bs? I've been listening the last day or so & don't know what to think anymore, listen to the phrasing, pitching, vibrato, accents etc. https://soundcloud.com/kris-holmes/voice-test I don't want to say anything more to influence your choices but if you could give me your thoughts it could be helpful. (of course if you already know the records please don't spoil others analysis) Thanks
  16. The new Dr John Lp is actually really great, the best by him in a long long time.
  17. Dr John = so hot right now. That's a crazy price.
  18. the font on that looks very recent, like from the 80s/90s/00s
