Knights On Usa
Maybe there is something to do with the publishing tied over from the vocal version of "The Hump" which is why World Int. appears on the Tragar 45?

Jackie Wilson - Was James Jamerson His Bass Player On Recording's ?
Bernard Reed is on quite a lot of the mid-late Brunsweick era Artistics sides as well as well as Barbara Acklin stuff. He's the bassist on "Am I The Same Girl"/Young-Holt's "Soulful Strut". So you'll have definitely heard Reed without neccessarily knowing it's him. The Pieces of Peace LP that came out a couple of years back is great. Read his bio here: Bernard Reed He's a pretty legendary R&B bassist.

Jackie Wilson - Was James Jamerson His Bass Player On Recording's ?
Great players like Phil Upchurch & Bernard Reed would also have been on the scene around these times for Brunswick & they are also pretty melodic players. Hard to be certain about anything that isn't documented though.

Do You Have Enough Money To Be A Top Northern Soul Dj?
you don't have to tell me, as i know all too well "you sound poor" is just a record collector's catch phrase when other collectors grizzle about price or make a point over how much someone else is spending, sort of an "in joke" when ribbing other collectors

John Manship Auction
According to discogs Billy was in By All Means after School Boyz & Stan was in Triple S Connection before School Boyz. They don't look very white in pics (which is nothing for nothing). I also had no idea Bunky Sheppard was white. Learn something every day

Do You Have Enough Money To Be A Top Northern Soul Dj?
you sound poor. So your answer to Ian's initial question must be "No". Let's just leave it at that because you aren't going to win an argument trying to affirm the playing of bootlegs to a crowd who kind of pride themselves on collecting originals.

Otis Redding's Rare Version Of 'shout Bamalama'
Orbit is the 2nd press of this version. The label name/design was changed because of the perceived negative connotations of the confederate flag on an R&B 45. The King version is definitely different in some aspects but I'm not 100% sure when those changes occured or if they only appear on the King 45?? Anyone?? The Alshire & Gerland are the first versions. Then Confederate which is the 2nd version. Then Orbit, Conco, Bethlehem (not sure if these are version 2 or 3 - I guess all these are version 2??) Finally King (version 3) I like the King version best. Chronologically when did the UK press on Sue come out & is it version 2 or 3?

Otis Redding's Rare Version Of 'shout Bamalama'
So which came first? This version or the one which was released on Alshire or Gerland? This release has always confused me with the (I think) 3 different versions?

Volcanos - Oh Oh Mojo (Tailspinn) - Any Info On This Anyone ?
Sounds R&B to me, but googling it sees it linked to as many Rockabilly references. I used to heavily collect Rockabilly & have never run into it before. Seems like the promos are on red vinyl. Maybe the flip is more rockabilly? Or the fact that they are a white group lessens their R&B-ness in some people's eyes??
