This is getting a bit ageist I am a dinosaur I love oldies I dont mind dancing to lowest common denomiator N/S that I danced to thirty odd years ago It makes me happy The scene can move on all it wants I dont care , as for new blood coming onto the scene dont give a f*** if the scene dies with me or not No one has the right to dictate how the scene should be but the one thing we should do is enjoy it for what it is great music and great people rant over thank you

  6. 1969 after being fed a diet of Beatles and Stones hearing black music at my local youth club was a turning point for me , Prince Buster and Arthur Conlley music you dance to . First soul club was the Pendulum in Manchesterand the first allnighter the Casino about xmas 73 .

    Martha has not sounded good for a few years but she is a legend . Duffy has not sounded good for about a year but she is annoying . Last year it was good Seasick Steve brilliant .

    Some new stuff is ok but a lot of it sounds like the Love Boat theme music pretty poor disco music . I appreciate that the scene moves on thats vital for its survival if thats your thing , Each to thier own but I prefer oldies anytime

  19. Thanks so much for that just listened to it brilliant All the Wigan compilation cds dodgy tv programmes and dancing around in shopping centres have failed miserably to capture that essential Wigan vibe . That recording takes me right back I was probabably there that night, magic .
