  11. Dave Rimmers and also the Sir Shambling site are constant sources of reference for me. So immensely comprehensive they demand respect. There are also a couple of 60s garage sites (Chris Bishops for one) which although not soul focussed are extremely informative and well researched - and do provide a great reference source for soul-influenced garage bands of relevance to the northern scene.
  12. Tempests for me is definately in my top 50 (folk might guess I would say that), sorry Jock, but do agree with you James Carr should be up there too. The Magnificent Men's Capitol LP with 'Keep on climbing' etc is a fave too.
