  1. Hi Guys, Welcome along to the latest list, still digging out the goodies from my last States trip and dont worry there are still plenty to come! I always try to grade records accurately although its impossible to play every record, that's why I offer a money back guarantee if not completely satisfied for any reason. Gradings are as follows; M-Faultless, probably unplayed, E- Very clean and a nice copy. VG - Used but plays through ok with some light noise, great for DJing with. Please order ALL RECORDS by email, first come, first served, however if you need to call me please do so.(01283 536359) P&P is £1.50 for up to 2 x 45 and £2.60 per LP, obviously cheaper if you buy more than one item. Please pay by cheque, cash, IMO or by using your credit card through www.paypal.com. PLEASE PAY WITHIN 7 DAYS or risk losing your reservation.IMPORTANT;WITH EVERY ORDER PLEASE INCLUDE A NOTE STATING EXACTLY WHICH RECORD YOU ARE ORDERING,THE RECORD NUMBER AND YOUR ADDRESS, FAILURE TO DO SO WILL DELAY YOUR ORDER .Please make all cheques out to C.Anderton and send to; C.Anderton, 1 Jackson Av, Nantwich, Cheshire, CW5 6LL. I`ll be spinning at the great Belvedere soul night in sunny Burton on Trent on Friday 15th December, this is a great venue and holds 400 plus, always a great night, first 50 thru the door get a free CD. Just follow signs for the hospital, email me for more details. The sound problems from the last even have been well and truely sorted now. Over the Christmas period I`ll be spinning at the ever-popular Willington mini-nighter on 28th December, other DJs include Rob Kay, Soul Sam and Jo Wallace, this is always a great night and has been a lock-out in the past so be there early! I`m also proud to be appearing at the Greatstone hotel in Manchester again, this time on New years eve. This is a great venue and the musical policy will be second to none. For more info on hotels/times/tickets etc check out the soul-source website. I`ll be playing in both rooms (I hope) at the Nurenberg weekender in Germany on the weekend of 10th December. This is a very special weekend and in my opinion is second to none anfd better than most! I hope to see some more of my German friends there...I`ll be the only guy there drinking cider! Thanks once again for your custom throughout the year, as i have said before many of you have become more like friends than customers so it just leaves me to wish you a happy Christmas and a very soulful 2007...... 2. I have a nice copy of this LP for sale at £30 if anyone is interested? Chris
  3. Buying to sell....... Chris
  4. How much would a mint copy be worth these days? Cheers, chris That should be H&L of course!
  5. Dont worry about the time scale Fraser, just get em done when you can mate. Had a mail from Rich today to say he is going away for a week so his will be delayed too...not a problem guys! Just playing Ockers CD....Eramus hall...love it! Forgotten how god this was.... Chris
  6. looks like your flogging a dead horse mate...both super quality tunes...at great prices too...... Chris
  7. Guys, the qauality of music so far has been faultless....although i`m taking my time to play each CD one at a time and really "absorb" the tunes! I`m also taking the time to label and case each one as when i`ve done this before they all got mixed up, mind you when i did this before 90% of the CDs were absolute shit.....! Keep em coming...must still be another 17 odd due to land any minute.... Chris
  8. Old Bretby/ Albrighton spin for me in the early/ mid 90s....paid £15.00 but not seen one since i found one at Val Shivelys last year, thats the copy that went for 300......bloody hard to find...but a quality tune..... Chris
  9. Last copy i heard of went for................................. £300............. So forget picking it up for 40 quid......a much sought after tune.... Chris Until the lights come on that is
  10. Never heard of either of em! Are they new collectors or guys who have been around a bit? Im just selling my place and moving in with my fiance, she says what i make on my place i can do what i want with, am i gonna buy a load of records....? No.........but i might buy one! Chris
  11. How many of the tracks in your dj box do you listen to at home? If you're like me not many i bet ................. I dont really play records at home anymore mate, although i used to when i lived alone and actually i threw a couple of Lps on today while i was home alone.... But whenever i do a CD i do a copy for myself and play it in the car or while i`m messing about on here, so i guess thats playing my own records! It would be interesting to go thru my boxes and know the date i last played every record out. So why do i keep them...? Shifty is always on my case about hoarding records i dont need but no way am i a collector, just keep stuff i might need "one day"....A couple of months ago i played Sam Fletcher out for the first time, even though I`d had it about 10 years...i knew I`d need it one day.......its an expensive hobby this DJing..... Chris
  12. Not saying its in the tiop 10 but Burton on Trent has a claim... 76 club in the 70s Burton town hall in the 80s and 90s with over 400 in everytime Bretby Country club Belvedere club...still get 300+ in for most nights... Chris ps, My aunt is always trying to get me to some do in Scarborough but i cant figure out where it is, think it might be at the local pub. Anyway always feel a bit awkward there...me being a York fan and all that!
  13. Think most dj's would consider themselves collectors as well with 1 noteable exeption but he's had enough stick on here today... .................... I disagree, i think a lot of major DJs buy and sell to be able to afford the latest tunes.A collector will buy stuff to store away and will rarely sell a record. I`m a bit in the middle here, I sell a lot of stuff i get from the US that i could keep but once a record has gone into the playbox it rarely finds its way to the sales box......... Chris
  14. I was chatting to a guy on the phone tonight about a record he was buying and he was telling me about the stuff he has bought recently, a thousand pound tune here a 2k tune there...the thing is i had never heard of the guy before and here he is with a major collection spending thousands of pounds a year. I was wondering who are todays biggest spenders, i`m not asking dealers to name their best customers and you dont have to name names but just looking for stories of guys (or gals) spending big money all of a sudden? In my experience these guys tend to disapear as quickly as they appeared but thats not saying they are all like that. Recently I have been selling a lot of records to the US and I know Shifty has a guy in New York that is buying a lot of big records....... Chris
  15. Got A CD from John Lloyd this morning, some great stuff on it but the stand out for me (so far) is a track from this LP...Crossroads of life....WOW! Anyone got a value...or even better anyone gonna sell me one? Cheers, Chris
  16. Dave, Why are you selling a record you rarely (if ever) play out....there are plenty of other tunes I`d like to see you sell, bloody Big Daddy Rogers, Don Gardner, The Enchanters....!! Chris
  17. Just had this thru from the US, anyone know it? Sounds like R&B to me....anyone give me a realistic value? Great looking label by the way... Cheers, Chris
  18. I think i have one of these for sale contact me on chris.soul@btinternet and we can work something out......... Chris
  19. Posted mine this morning, so should be with 21 of you Saturday am....Stateside will take a little longer i`m afraid! Really enjoyed the 2 I have played so far (Eddie and Drew).... Cheers, Chris
  20. I had some awesome nights up there in the early 90s...always loved the atmosphere in the main room (where the cool people hung out) and the music in the second room.... I remember a great new-years eve do there with Sam and Bob Hinsley in the back room....nights to die for........ Chris
  21. Just bought one after telling a mate "its one i need to own before i die"....£150 for an issue... all i need to do now is find a venue i can play it at! Chris
  22. Would be hard pushed to put a value on this, the only time i saw it for sale was circa 1993 at Bretby for £150....I ummmm`d and arrrr`d all night and left it....never found a copy in the States....bloody rare in my opinion....and great too........ Chris
  23. I know the track...just wanna hear it again.....anyone got a sample? Chris
  24. Cheers Paul, anyone know the Morris Vaughn track? Chris
