  6. Well Jesse James on Shirley and that Temptones c/u are also on the same tape from '97 and I recall he was still dropping them into sets 4 or 5 years later at least.

Seller's prerogative. A record which dictates its own price.
  8. Will bear that in mind Kevin..................I still reserve the right to resort to sales hype though.

Fella was asking $1200 I think?
  10. Cheers Tony. I think I am correct in saying it was covered as DC Blossoms though? And Butch has been on this very site stating that AA was one of his discoveries. I have a CD made from a tape (recorded by the late Paul Fisher from South Wales) of a Butch set at the 100 Club circa 1997 where he plays it, though he doesn't announce it; so it maybe had been uncovered by then?
  11. Wasn't Butch still playing it covered as DC Blossoms in the late 90s?
  12. Carla.

  15. Ah! I see what you mean. I think the WDJs are also vinyl whereas the issues are vinyl and tend to play quite distorted.
  16. I think you will find it is listed in JM's guides? It is a very well known record.
  17. Both lo-fi, no discernable difference between them (as far as I could tell). Gator is genuinely tricky to find and prices do vary wildly for both labels.
  18. Postage to be added. 19. Helen Curry - great 45, never had the recognition it deserves and not easy to find, especially in that condition. A steal at 50 quid.
  20. It's a decent example of recently manufactured pop, made in a style deliberately to appeal to the Northern Soul crowd. I'm sure it would sound great on Steve Wright in The Afternoon. I neither hate it or like it, particularly.
  21. I thought Pearlean Grey was a Torch oldie? Certainly one of the pre-Wigan clubs.
  22. Thanks for clarifying Kev. That is genuinely interesting.
  23. Cheers guys. What about Seven Souls and Vernon Greene?
  24. Of course I stand to be corrected as I wasn't there and I bow deferentially to those that were, especially someone who was actually shaping the playlists of the time, but I really did think that these 3 were a lot, lot later than 73-75? I always thought these 3 were late Wigan/Stafford era biggies? At least in terms of being played (I can well imagine they would have been in the playbox back in 73-75)?
