Richard definitely got the best deal, William Powell always goes for a few grand when it comes up for sale,i was never a big fan of Z.Z & Co and Larry Houston is easy to come by. My personal favourite Searling/Anderson discoveries are Cecil Washington,Court Davis and Judy Hughes.

Damon Fox and William Powell were first spun by Soul Sam i believe, covered up respectively as Don Parker and Bobby Jason. Sam swapped these two to Searling for Z.Z and Co. - Getting Ready For The Getdown and Larry Houston - Lets spend some time together.

The Radiants - Hold On, Jackie Wilson - Higher And Higher, i find those two very tricky to dance to.

My friends and myself went to see it, on monday in Newcastle,it was a sell-out,roughly 250-300 people there,we all thought it was good, the soundtrack was great,the only complaint was the ridiculous dance off at the end.

Larry Clinton,Court Davis,Cecil Washington,Moses Dillard,Little Ann etc etc, Frank Wilson was overrated from the off, those records i have mentioned are far superior to anything dicovered in the last twenty years.

This record is still a million times better than the dross dished out by plebs like Frank Wilson and George Lemons,the average soul fan back in the day when this was first played had more knowledge and better taste than the average soul fan nowadays,some of the crap i hear at events wouldn't have got near a turn table in Searlings hey day at the Casino 1978-1981.

Can someone tell me the words at the intro of The Sweet " Broken Heart Attack " what comes immediately after ' When you left me' i still can't understand it and i have loved this track for 30 years.

No doubt Frank Wilson will make it onto the list, purely because of the rarity of the disc and certainly not because of soul content.
