  5. I have purchased Rockin' Records, Manships and Tim Browns guides and use them purely for reference as I buy other types of music as trades for Soul stuff. Does anybody really expect stuff to sell for guide price? How hard is it to find 45's in Mint unplayed condition nowadays The funny thing here in Canada is Martin Koppell sells his guides at all the Toronto shows yet I still pick up stuff like Anne Heywood on Hondo for $3C, none of the Canadian sellers seem to have them?!?!? So, price guides are handy reference tools and nothing more.
  6. Doesnt the lead singer of The Four Vandals live in the UK?!!!!!!
  7. Is it a straight re-issue on 20th Century or a different label? I picked one up a few months ago on 20th Century but I think it was a Canadian press, offers accepted Kevin

  10. I dont know him, I have talked to him maybe twice about 25 years ago but it has to be said, he certainly generates some bad feeling. If you stick your neck out as much, and upset as many people as he has over the last 30 years or so its going to get nasty. Back to the original thread, isnt the seller the guy who put out Stella and the Gazelles, Topics, Royal Five, Inspirations - Benn-X etc. Maybe we should ask him to explain why he is so anti-Levine.
  11. I would have to say late 50's/early 60's as I bought a Cab Calloway album for my wife a week or so ago and this still had the cellophane on it. Hi De Hi De Hi De HI
  12. There is no Northern scene as such in Canada to my knowledge. Kev Cox used to run a regular Toronto night but that has dwindled away. There is a mid week Mod Night in Toronto that has run for a few years and also a few sporadic nights but nothing regular. If he is looking for Northern 45's there are absolutely none left in the whole of Canada!!!!!!!!!
  19. Is the label Tamara or Tamarac? I think Tamarac was a Canadian label? Either way, I concur with everybode else, its Shite.

    Love it!!
  21. I ship my 45's Oversize Letter Air Mail and last year Canada Post tried to cash in on the Ebay thing by saying the only thing that could go letter was a letter and anything else had to go Parcel. This pushed up postage by about $1.50 for a 45 which was just money grabbing. The outrage from Canadians was so great that this idea lasted 1 week before they went back to the old routine.
  22. I got stuffed a few weeks ago by a seller who charged me $8 to ship from US to Canada. When I got the package actual cost was $3 and he didnt send it in a mailer just between 2 pieces of card!! I charge $6 and can get 2 45's under the 200 grammes for that but I still had somebody question that last week. The killer is the $14US charge to ship an album.
