  6. 20 quid max...
  7. Right on both accounts, UK issue pressed for the Belgian scene. big center hole and photostat label.
  8. Love it to bits but wouldn't play it out if I had a copy. The lyrics make me sit down and listen to it instead of wobbling around the floor to it...
  9. Not soul, but on Google the first link see here "The world's most expensive record we could find has an estimated value of $180,000.00 USD. Unfortunately the only collection you will ever find it in is that of Paul McCartney. Recorded in 1958 by the Quarry Men, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, Colin Hanton and John Duff Lowe, the first pressing of their version of That'll Be The Day would be a jewel in any collection."
  10. Some of the unreleased tracks didn't do it for me too at the time when I bought the CDs. I never liked you only live twice, the strident chorus spoils it for me and LC's voice seems to be a bit off key at times. Will dig out volume 1 and 2 tonight, maybe the unreleased RCA stuff is like a good wine and needs maturing
  11. Also on a very rare 1970s coloured bootleg. see recent thread about that...

Am I mixing it up or isn't this the one that Tim Brown rates well into three figures (800+??)?
  13. One of my alltime favourites I'd never sell. Hardly turns up, I'd say 300-350 but more likely to be a Manship auction piece if it turns up especially if it's in M- condition.
  14. PS: Have an UK copy of LJB "let him go" for sale if anybody's interested?
  15. Just checked with Manship's site, LJB-Drifter came out on UA 1136 and Let him go on UA 1204. Can anyone date both releases? "Let him go" came out in Germany as well, with a nice picture sleeve. Been trying to find out if Drifter was released over here in Krautsville as well but didn't find any hint of that so far. Went to see a LJB live about 15 years ago. After the gig I asked him about his Ray Pollard covers, he remembered both songs but wasn't aware they were released, he was given two publisher's acetates to listen to. Wonder which takes the acetates featured. Ray's released ones or unfinished demo takes?
  16. Story goes they had withdrawn the first release of "only a fool breaks his own heart" with "the drifter" on flip and re-released it few months later with "let him go (and let me love you)" on flip. Strange coincidence that "let him go" is the flip of Ray Pollard's "drifter"?

So, does anyone know this one here then?
  18. It is. Released by Artone records who also did the dutch Tamla-Motown 45s. They usually came with a picture sleeve as well but I guess these are impossible to find 40+ years later...
  19. Thanks for the quick replies I just wish all my record-related questions were answered that fast
  20. What do you think is the rarer US format for James Walsh Gypsy Band - Cuz it's you? Issue or demo? I think you hardly see it on issue, do you?
  21. Title: tony bruno - how am i gonna make it Artist: tony bruno Track: how am i gonna make it Label: hansa germany view soul record info
  22. Have to correct myself, the first german releases licenced from CP came out on Ariola itself starting in the late 50s or so. They later introduced CP as a sub-label.
  23. The first german CP releases were very early 60s when Chubby Checker, Chiffons, etc. had their first hits. When was the first UK CP release? Who distributed Cameo-Parkway in the UK? In Germany all CP releases were licensed, manufactured and distributed by Ariola.
