  2. Hi, while looking for some stuff at home today I just found a spare of what nowadays (after the huge quantity find of her Tuna 45) seems to be her rarest Soul 45. A great piece of early Detroit Soul in VG+ (us grading) condition. Hence condition only 100 UKP (in the "book" at 150 UKP) incl. pp. his is really a rare record as everything on Jackpot is extremely rare. First come first served. Please pm me, TIA Marc
  3. Great picture...I may keep it now Seriously, thanks for posting this ! Marc
  4. Well, Craig Moerer had them as Buy It Now once...he may still have one tucked away...oh how I can hear you typing your immediate email now Good luck!
  5. "Funny" thing is that it was me who got once outbid by Butch on ebay when he bought his copy. It was after I had purchased the other (great!) Parliaments on Capell. Not knowing this particular one I thought I better give it a go and was outbid by a few bucks with final price of about 160 USD sth. Obviously I never knew what I missed out on. I must have heared Butch play his Masqueraders C/UP every year at least twice or three times since then....then suddenly I had Lew`s tape in my hands and more importantly in my tape player...well, you can guess my surprise The attempt to get hold of this copy was useless and it resides now with Mick H, didn`t know Kitch and Sam were playing it also ? Great record and bearing in mind that all the other stuff on Capell is not easy to come by I very much doubt quantity coming up in the near future...
  6. well another case of me selling to early then..sold this as a mint 7" early this summer at 200 plus USD just becuse the tune seemed to "long" (=intro maybe) for me to deejay out with it. Marc

Still available which really surprises me...a great version and very close to Barbara Lynn...
  8. Sorry of course I forgot to add the Starmaker and Motown (of which I also da have a spares by the way) 45s in my posting. But still I bellieve the CT 45 predates the Gloreco one. Marc
  9. The Taylor Tones were Sherry Taylor with her younger sister on her co-owned label CT Records. A great early detroit piece with sligtly ska-ish melody. I am sure that "Too Young" predates the Gloreco 45. Both seem to be the only recordings by her. I do have a spare in VG+ (us grading) which this man with obvious taste can have at 75 UKP. Just let him have my email hipcitysoulclub@gmx.net please. Marc

Right, Johnny Brantley How many are there on Royal by HH, as I only have "Georgia Grind" ? I think the Minit "Bad Girl" 45 was at least recorded in Atlanta as was "Show me Some Sign" but I may have it wrong. Marc

Lee did the guitar backing on these Hitson 45s only. The link between the two was/is the producer whose name escapes me at present. Don`t know of any Southern made 45s by him, most/all were cut in NYC.

Not that easy to come by. The only ever spare I had I sold maybe a month ago on here. And no, I can`t let my copy go It may be of interets though that the great Lee Moses used to be the guitarist on some of the Herman Hitson tunes (recorded in Atlanta) which explains why there`s also a version of his classic "Bad Girl" by Mr Hitson. Marc

It was quite "big", indemand and receievd plays in Germany during the very early nineties along another very nice midtempo group mover on the very same label...whose title I just can`t remember now
