  1. Nice price on this one Tony.. Great tune. ATB Greg.
  2. Cheers Chaps, As you say, this is a great 45 and more difficult to find than 'Keep It Up' a bit of a sleeper imho . I believe, with a little bit more exposure, it's going to get very difficult to find and the price will only rise (btw for the scinical I don't have one to sell ) ATB Greg.
  3. Hi, Would appreciate views on price / value on this 45 please: Milton Wright - Ooh Ooh I Like It / Brothers And Sisters - Alston 3727 (7") Found a couple of references to the value but far less copies seem to turn up for sale than his 'Keep It Up" (Alston 3716). Thanks in advance.. ATB Greg.

  6. Hi Greg, Here is what Bob has to say in reply to your question... "Quote Now, to answer Greg's question; The Soul Discography is a very different work to The R&B Indies. It is recording session-based, which follows an artist's complete recorded output in chronological order by master number/recording session showing musicians, arrangers, producers, recording location and session dates, unlike The R&B Indies which was strictly singles based, it also includes details of album releases and unissued titles. Many Soul releases were on 'major' labels (as apposed to indies) which are included. If you are familiar with The Blues Discography or The Gospel Discography you'll know what to expect. Hope this helps Bob" --------------------------------------- Chalky ------------------------------------- Thanks Chalky, Much appreciated. ATB Greg.

Very valid point Tim.. Funky Northern - contradiction in terms maybe maybe not. But definitions are always difficult to nail down. Maybe Soulful Funk or probably better Funky Soul.. The Richard Knight is more in the vein of what some may be term Funk Northern in the same way as World Column or Case of Tyme.. But tunes like Grace 'Inside Your Dreams' - which is f88in brilliant imho - can't possiblty be given that tag. Either end up, diversity is good for all - keeps it interesting. ATB Greg.

Loads of little gems on there Phil. If you get only one off the list then the Festivals is a class tune.. Regards, Greg.
  12. A valid point - but I have always believed this pink label copy to be a pressing?. ATB Greg.
  13. Cresa Watson - shit rare version I believe and very very good..

The hitsound version has a nice lazy almost jazzy feel (I like the flute ;-) - a definite record room tune What does the Hit Sound version command price wise currently? But the suncut is probably the more suitable 'dance floor' cut.. ATB GReg.

Agreed Ted, but Chris did say how much could it possibly go for, so just answering not justifying. It doesn't appear for sale that often now. ATB Greg.

Hi Chris, Lovely tune, I would expect a nice clean copy to command £250 - £300 on set sale But, I would anticipate it doing well at auction also. ATB Greg.

    Anybody?
  19. Potential nasty can of worms that one Pete.. I'd say in general no comments on pricing in the sellers post but when there is a clear mistake or piss take that's when comments could be admissable. The nature and content of the comment would then need to be moderated - so back to you ultimately ATB Greg.

  21. Yes Kev, but - controversially - can never understand anyone giving this preference over Mel Williams.. ATB Greg.
  22. Chalky, If your in touch with the compilers it would be good to understand if and how these volumes will overlap, or even compliment, the R&B Indies series.. When they state 'Soul' they must have a clear(ish) understanding of the boundaries - exclusions as well as inclusions.. Any help much appreciated. Cheers Greg.
