Just the one tune tonight. This 45 doesn't turn up too often. An obscure funky soul workout with 2 good sides. This copy has some visual wear, with lots of light marks but no scratches that can be felt. Pressed on vinyl, it plays loud and clear with some minor background noise, the odd pop, and a slight storage warp (nap). The labels are clean. Hi Petar, As the boys have said there are many boxes out there far more suitable than Sebastians old vacuum! There are a few suppliers that provide these in the UK, from rock solid 200 boxes to the more affordable lightweight aliminium types. If you want a list of suppliers drop me a mail. Yep Nev, price dropped but never been my cup of tea at any price.. Just looked at the thread you've posted - started back in Nov 09 and last comment in March this year - so obviously a topic that generates interest. Just interested to see whether we think CM stands much of chance at his new starting price. Phil This company sells card sleeves that are slightly oversize and can accept a 45 in a paper/company sleeve. https://soundswholesaleltd.co.uk/ Don't buy their paper sleeves though as they are cut the same oversize measurement as the card so the paper sleeves don't fit inside. I take it you mean 'A Pretty Girl Dressed In Brown' I've just had a quick gander on Gemm and it looks like it has been booted as a kind of repro.. But I'm like you Joan, had no idea it had been booted. It's a £100 ish record not mega rare but has demand. Wouldn't be surprised if whichever tosspot has done this doesn't come up with a looky likey of Harvey Averne 'Never Learned To Dance' same kind of market demand but harder to pick up. For identification the Eugene Jefferson boot appears visually different from the image I got from GEMM. The original is a very deep brown/black with light gold lettering (if that makes sense) and pressed on vinyl. Deadwax info is 2 scratched out small stamped matrix one letters one numbers at 10 o clock, just below that there is a scratched in identifier looks like LO - 033 and at 2 o clock a stamped capital H As far as I can see, the repro is black with silver lettering 9looks like the same font as original) no idea what marks it may have in the deadwax and is available for £6. Yeh, they've done a good job. However, they are the original trimmfit so be careful on sizing. My lads got the tartan check and it looks nice but he's 18 and trim build - No Brutus pour moi I'm afraid! Greg.
