  9. Bollocks, I knew I'd missed something(s)! Dance, Dance, Dance....
  10. Yeh, it's a good track which I picked up with some other stuff. Fits with the current appeal for edgy soul tunes. Be interesting to hear Pete's soundfile when he's sorted out the tech! Cheers.
  11. Just come back from the GP after filling in some yes/no forms. It got me thinking (well almost) about a subject I wanted to post up regarding the nature of our relationship with the music we all love (whether it be modern, xo, northern, funk, r&b etc etc). The dedication, almost blind allegiance, to our music has, does and will cause much joy but has also led to a certain amount of pain and sacrifice (money, relationships, work etc) So, I was wondering, within the forum community, what category people felt that there relationship with our music fell into. I came up with 3 categories that I felt related to my own experience; Hobby, Passion, Addiction. On reflection, it is and has been one or all of these! What I'm looking for is the state you feel best describes your state of mind right now. Now if this has been done before then I apologise, but I thought a poll would be the best way to get a representative view. Thanks for your input!
  12. Is that the "Gone/Funny Changes" on Sagport? If it is are you referring to the "Gone" side (the more funky cut)? Regards...

  14. This a today question. And today it's????? ** Darrow Fletcher ** Tomorrow who knows, just so many to choose from.
  15. In my humble opinion, there isn't a 'scene' but a number of complimentary and sometimes overlapping 'scenes'. I'm not really sure what we seem to be worrying about... There are always surges and dips in interest for all manner of reasons (personal, financial, family etc) but ultimately the music speaks for itself and will keep people coming back for more time and time again. But this need to hang on to the past is academic as things always sort themselves out anyway whether we personally agree or not. For me, it's all about the enjoyment of this fantastic gift of music we've been given; old, new and yet to be dicovered. To be honest I'm too busy searching out new sounds to my ears and enjoying the ones I've loved for years to worry too much about a term so hard to tie down as 'scene'. Look at it like this, Mozart's done alright over the years and so will our musical heroes
  16. Yeh, madness alright! The first item (280398662313) Shane Martin is odd because of the condition but the real gem is the second item (350254081324) Larry Houston on HFMP for £65! What the f$$K! If there are any non-winning bidders out there I'm sure there'll be plenty of people on here happy to sell you a copy, including me As for the ebay feedback system for sellers then that's bollocks anyway as you can only ever leave positive feedback. It's just a shite system full stop! Regards...

Ditto... The credit crunch must be bad if you're selling this! Beautiful mid-tempo record but like soulboy I just wish I had the spare cash for this one. :( Regards..
  18. If your just looking for a record box for home there are some reasonably priced ali boxes (holds 'up to' 200) at soundswholesale at about £30 delivered... Beatinrhythm do a nice box for DJ'ing, strong and durable. Or if you're not far from Wolves then best take Pete up on his offer. Regards...
  19. For 'issue' read 'release' sorry for any confusion with semantics. As far as I'm aware, apart from the Lee John 'issue', both the Maple and Canyon releases are demos. From the poll results so far, it seems even though the Maple release was 'first' it seems more commonly owned/available than the Canyon release. Thanks...
  20. Just had a look on JM's and it seems from his description that "This is hard to find as 99% of the release have the instrumental flip side." So maybe it's a record that could become somewhat of a rarity if it ever caught on. Think it's great value for a tenner btw! Cheers..
  21. Most of you will be familiar with Leon Collins 'Just Wanna Say' on Elf as a nice cheapie. I've come across 3 versions the vocal/insrumental, long/short version and a version with an alternative flip 'Knowing I Love You'. Now I'm quite impressed with the 'Knowing I Love You' track and have been checking round for availability and price. It seems relatively scarce as far as I can see on this version. Can anybody enlighten me further or shed any more light on this version/release? Regards...
  22. Fantastic double-sider this one. The only issue I've seen is yellow same as mine. It's not that common but still think £20 is fair even very kindly priced as it seems to be getting more scarce. I'd bite Pikey's hand off if I was you mate
  23. Andy PM'd you mate... Yesterday
  24. How did you pay this arsehole? Paypal I hope... If so he/she should have a registered/verified address and you can pursue for a refund. God I hate shite bags like that. Good luck with it!
  25. These 3 records are fantastic played out love them all (Pain, Misery, What Good...) Darrow Fletcher was a genius vocalist... What Good Am I is probably the classiest of the lot and it seems all of them are having a mini revival and that's great as far as I'm concerned! Regards...
