- Gene Anderson- Baby I Dig You- Royal Tone
Thanks to all who've helped so far, but nothing definative yet.- Gene Anderson- Baby I Dig You- Royal Tone
bit of the phsycedelic influence showing there, its credidted to Gene anderson and the Dynamic phsycedelics on the Royal tone issue too, though I cant imagine there being much of a 'heads scene' in st louis, mid 6ts, maybe wrong though.- Gene Anderson- Baby I Dig You- Royal Tone
I was pleasde to pick this up in a trade over Xmas and seem to remeber having it in the 8ts, when I sposse it was what you might call a tape swoppers fave but can anyone tell me more about the disc, artist or most importantly when and where it was played, a stafford sound? Gary Rushbrook perhaps?- gen 12

- Sharon Jones - Feb-March 2012 - UK and Europe Dates
i WAS JUST THINKING THAT!! ARHHGH, WHAT WITH THESE PROMOTORS SURELY THERE'S MORE POTENTIAL IN PUTTING THEM ON IN MANCHESTER THAN EITHER LEEDS OR THE SOULLESS BRUM! !- Special Guests - 100 Club Northern Allnighter - Jan 28th
Dave rivers has one, but its a different version.- Gay Connection?
for me there are some real obvious connections, and the development of both gay and northern club culture scenes have been influencial too both one and other and more importantly mainstream club culture.- Gay Connection?
It could only be called, on the fringes of the viliage anyway.- Who Was Jimmy Church?
is this the guy who cut an excellent house gospel cut in the early 9ts? sorry guys another classic boob for me, its joe church, lol.- Special Guests - 100 Club Northern Allnighter - Jan 28th
thanks for that- Special Guests - 100 Club Northern Allnighter - Jan 28th
didnt mind them so much at the time myself Pete, but they seem to have dated quite quickly, what I mean its hard to pick out any big sounds he spun that still feature in sets now. Maybe the reason Jamma is disliked is because of how much its been played/ hammered, off top I know but can anyone remember what it was covered as back then? Joe Jamma that is.- Special Guests - 100 Club Northern Allnighter - Jan 28th
when Ian had his last revival, around 10- 15 years ago, remember the rocket fiasco anyone? I used to enjoy some of the sounds he's spin on Searlings shows, although not the ego driven diatribe that would go with it, so I for one would be interested to hear what he does spin and may make the jorney down. Although when I consider some of thew stuff he was playing, venicia Wilson, four Vandals, linda Lloyd, spontaines ect doesnt hold up so well with the things other guests dropped on the show, many as hot new tunes, joe Jamma, jockers ect.- change 2012, front

A couple to add from me that will continue get spins this year @ CHANGE. Delia Gatrell- Fight fire with fire- Right on Electric Express- The real thing- Linco- Pete Waterman Northern Soul
sorry totally disagree with the funkier sounds being JB influeced, I've heard an awful lot of funky tunes played in the past 12 mths and very, very few of them have any connection with JB, rhythimicaly or sonicaly.- 2011 Soulsource Awards ?
can we have an award for best punter on the scene, stalwart characters who support venues come what may and travel some serious distance in the proccess, some suggestions from me wouid be, Rob Smith, roddy from scotland, Will West from Carlisle and Tabs and Trev Wright from oxfordshire, oh and they dont have to be male, how about Sharon Smith, and the soulgirl- Karen. Punters are really what its all about after all. I'm sure there's loads more, please forgive me if I've missed you.- Pete Waterman Northern Soul
Well I was going to say he was out of order talking about pitmen, but then I realised I was born on a miners estate, me dad was a face worker, one of me brothers was on the blacksmith at the pit so, hmmmmh. LOL.- Pete Waterman Northern Soul
