  2. I'll check these, thanks I know this great tune but not the one Thanks but not the one
  3. Sorry to be so vague about this one. All the Lyrics I can recall are Tears come falling/ tumbling down my face Male vocal, quite raw sounding and possible early 64/65. Had it on a Stafford tape years ago, I've tried several songs with the that title to no avail. He bends the 'tears to sound 'te- he - he - ears, come falling down my face', I think 🤔 🤣 Hope someone can help, thanks in advance.
  4. Oh totally 🤣🤣
  5. Dancing in formation is an intrinsic part of the black roller scene in the US. Some great documentaries on the lesser known element of black culture https://youtu.be/sO8k77AxxXA?si=KEhINI1ej3Tenf1t
  6. Fair point but it was also inspired by a mod lifestyle, transplanted to Brooklyn in the 70's. The writer of the short story that inspired it was a regular at tiles the flamingo and scene club.

    It's certainly was mate, only a week's now! 😁
  8. Myself and my brother been searching for a Tom Jones ep, I used to own, it had probably easily best track on it, neither of us can remember the title! The EP, was called 'jones the voice' it also had, ain't gonna be that way, on it. Any help appreciated!
  9. One I've heard touted is; the trends album on ABC, they did put out enough singles, on the label, to make up an album, 7. Anyone know what, tell me, is like? By them Incidentally.
  10. Two From a Great sound track album by Willie; might make a good double sider, played the first side of a couple of tine this year.
  11. The guys have a mixcloud channel and an Instagram, links below https://www.instagram.com/gangsterdedicationsradio/ https://www.mixcloud.com/nickaguirre/gangster-dedication-radio-presents-the-soulful-thangs-show-6252016/
  12. Having previously said the genre is made up of Poundland stylistics B sides, I'm getting a white vest, full sleeve tats and considering lowering the Kia🤣

Buzz seems to be building nicely and after the last great event expectations are high. Really looking forward and honoured to be involved, bring it on!
  15. Thanks a lot, really appreciated, all on my wants list, I was aware of the work with labelle, such an interesting artist. Karen Dalton, what a voice and wasn't aware of her before, thank you, music really is a blessing.
  16. I've been a regular at this event over the last few years, and I've seen some amazing guests, and heard fantastic music. Without a doubt Johnny Beggs has to be the very best I've heard. There were just so many total exclusives in one set, of such high quality and variety. This guy was just on fire. Hoping to catch him at the 100 club later this year. Hitch a car or your motorbike, run, walk if you have to cause John is....😁 Well just just have to hear this guy! He really is that good
  17. Thanks, don't know her, I'll take a decco.
  18. Really like this artist but a little daunted by how much she put out, any tips, similar artists? I'm also a big fan of Ellen McIlwaine is anyone else into this kind of sound?
  19. Got to big up the guest for this month's installment, Senior Beggs, a true legend of the scene, when many choose to rest on the laurels and past discoveries after over 40 years consistently involved with the scene Johnny is one of very few still digging and coming up with exclusives, one offs and the just damm good and underplayed. Your just not going to hear the music he plays anywhere else. Get thee sen darn vere!
  20. Two nice cover versions that take the Gil Scott Heron and Brian Jackson originals into more jazz territories than soul.
  21. Many venues posture as underplayed, and what you get is rare oldies, the same rare oldies every month in some cases. You will hear something new and different at this venue!
  22. I know mike thought it was irrelevant 😌 but that's why I mentioned the education system, which is set up to get kids to pass exams, essentially grade then as people, rather than to prepare kids for life and it's expectations. Anyone on the spectrum, plus many more will struggle in a system like that, and that's just your start in life!

Not really thought about it but that is interesting.

If you've not seen toast of London, first thing that's made me laugh on TV for a long time.
