Its the great mans 82nd birthday today and it would be such a shame to let it pass without some aknowledgement. He was a pioneer for r and b / black music throughout the 60s. He would also appear to be still with us and living around Oxford? It would be great if he could still recount some of the amazing experiences he must have had working with and alongside touring American blues men and early British blues /soul pioneers like Long John Baldry /Spencer Davies/Alex Harvey. Compare Jackie Wilson a legend of the scene "It only happens",which is currently being auctioned . I would say that is as much of a pop record as Billy Ocean .written by two highly regarded British writers of pop music but is very highly rated on the scene.There is no right or wrong it's all a matter of opinion. Just enjoy what you like and dont worry what other people think.

Some do go for more than they are probably worth,but there are the odd bargains.Someone got a good deal with the Manchester Playboys which is as rare as Kiki Dee but a quarter of the price.

I also paid in October last year and then forgot all about it. Record arrived yesterday.. Hopefully yours is also on it's way.
