I bought this Mike Jemison LP quite a few years ago, I was recently revisiting it after many years & got me wondering about it, it seems like a retrospective with tracks covering a few year period & includes tracks that were also recorded on Lake, as well as GeNEVA...my copy came without a cover & this Popsike blurb appears to support that. Does anyone have any other information about this LP the 'Satisfaction' track is the 'I Want Some Satisfaction' released as a 45 on GeNEVA...however the LP version is some 20 secs longer than the 45 version (altho I havnt timed this to be sure) ? The Mike Jemison on the tape was a big play at Cleethorpes, probably Poke. RS MIM Cover up was a different MJ track. I have it at home & on the lp I think, but title escapes now....The MJ on the tape is brilliant.... Best Russ

Brilliant tape...hope there is more, was a different world back then to now, still exciting with many characters, brilliant music & new discoveries, inovative DJ's with bollox....a million miles away from the purile nostalgia trip of today...I can just hear some of the derogatory comments now.... Need to hear more of this stuff....BTW Shute re: Colin Law....'kin great DJ as were many of the Scottish lads back then (& now). Best Russ

Oh Martin....I bloody Love Soul Bros Inc & have since it was first played as Mel Britt...a record that cracks me up every time...is it having a revival ?...hope they dont thrash it to death... Coming bang up to date - altho I havnt heard it played out at a Nighter yet over a booming system, that 'Loveseed' thing in the cold light of day sounds like a third rate Motown reject...I will however reserve my final judgment until I have heard it out at a venue. Im struggling to find others that I 'hate'...dont hate much, just sometimes things were 'of the time' & dont travel well, others are good records but just thrashed to death & need retiring for a bit.......... Think you'll find this was a random bargain Ted - most copies go for substantially more, also this was a lesser grade copy. Good tune IMHO & still has a lot of plays left in it. Best Russ

45's are same version, LP is a different mix. Russ
